Houston Port - Production Operator Trainee Huntsman is seeking a Production Operator Trainee supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Houston Port TEROL, Houston, Texas. This position will report to the Production Manager. Job Scope The Production Operator Trainee will train under qualified operators to learn and perform all tasks necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the Houston Port TEROL production facility. The role focuses on developing proficiency in operating, monitoring, and maintaining process equipment while adhering to all Operational and EH&S procedures. In summary, as the Production Operator Trainee, you will: Perform outside operating duties including startup, shutdown, and operation of process equipment for producing quality, on-spec products. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of unit operations, equipment, and operating methods. Conduct routine rounds, check and adjust equipment, draw samples, and make operating adjustments based on lab analysis. Complete reports, charts, operating data, work orders, and safe work permits. Maintain proper housekeeping to ensure a clean and orderly work area. Monitor safe handling, storage, identification, and removal of waste streams. Complete all required training assignments. Participate in site safety and environmental programs. Be present at the workplace regularly and work extra hours or overtime if needed to meet production objectives. Duties And Responsibilities: The Maintenance Mechanic (Production Tech) responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Maintains and observes operation of machines and equipment to insure the production of high quality cans. Inspects cans according to customer specifications. If specifications are not met, makes the necessary adjustment to insure the correct can's specifications. Replenishes inks, oils, chemicals, fluids, or other supplies according to the requirements of each machine or equipment. Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance required for production such as: repairs or replaces defective parts, installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, moves, sets-up and operates all types of machinery, equipment and machine tools, and perform any dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for plant maintenance. Reads blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. May operate manual machine shop equipment and work with close tolerances. May repair electronic or electrical equipment: performing a variety of general electronic or electrical maintenance, repair and installation work. May install, repair, construct, adjust, overhaul, calibrate and service all types of electronic and electrical equipment. Responsible for all required paperwork of area or machine assigned examples: Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, logbook entries, and maintenance checklist for the body-makers; or bills of lading, inventory sheets, and warehouse tags for the warehouse area. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Other duties as assigned by the team or management. Identify and segregate any nonconforming product and notify supervisor for determining further actions. Carry out daily preventive maintenance and inspection to machinery, tooling and auxiliary equipment, including trucks following the customized check lists; report any item noticed out of compliance from OSHA and company regulations. Dispose scrap, broken pallets, lubricants and other chemicals timely, using allotted containers/dumpsters as indicated by HMT procedures. Sort, set in order and clean tools, shadow boards, machinery, floors, cabinets, transportation carts, etc. in compliance with 5S program and the weekly tasks schedule. Other tasks as required by HMT management. We are searching for experienced Production Operators at our Houston and La Porte locations. Job Overview: This position is focused on operating an extrusion line from start to finish. Extrusion experience preferred but not required. Training provided. High operational/mechanical aptitude with the desire and flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities along the line. Able to recognize and implement process improvement opportunities as needed. Responsibilities and Duties: • Set up, operate, and monitor plastics extrusion line • Prepare extrusion parts and tools for production • Identify and troubleshoot extrusion line issues • Measure and perform quality control checks of finished products • Adhere to all safety protocol • Track operational data daily • Deliver/transport materials for extrusion operation • Achieve daily production goals • Other job duties as assigned Qualifications: • Previous extrusion experience preferred but not required (training provided) • Warehousing, forklift and mechanical aptitude • Flexibility and ability to adapt well to change • Highly dependable and punctual • High school/GED diploma minimum • Valid driver's license • Ability to work well with others in a team environment • Ability to make quick decisions • Rotating Shift work Physical Job Requirements: • Ability to perform production/warehouse functions such as heavy lifting, working from a ladder, organizing/rotating inventory, and other similar assigned tasks • Standing and operating extrusion line for extended periods of time • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance • Must be able to operate a forklift; training provided • Must pass drug screen and background check • Must wear safety shoes with steel toe and metatarsal guard, safety glasses (with side shields if applicable) and safety ear protection • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and may require medium to heavy strength lifting, pushing and pulling weight requirements, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc. • Must understand and comply with Hazard Communication and Hazardous Waste management guidelines

The filler operator also operates filling machines and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure consistency. This is a 3 rd shift position, 10:00pm-6:30am Monday-Friday and overtime on Saturdays as required. The pay is $22/hr.

Machine Shop Operator Houston, Texas Full-Time Role Summary/Purpose Plan and perform the set up and operation of an assigned CNC numerical controlled lathe to machine component parts in process of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy metals. Work involves the assignment to either the NC/CNC Lathes, proving out computer programs in collaboration with Programmer, and following prescribed program, tooling, set up and offset specifications. Essential Responsibilities Must be able to work from detail part drawings, work orders, set ups, tooling, process and operation instruction sheets, and digital program. Set up and operate 2-axis lathes and operate 4-axis lathes on a wide range of products, receiving assistance from programmer or supervisor if needed. Review parts program file and select set tools in tool holder, turret, or cross slide location. Operate control console to enter program data, back off tool offsets, and check out with dry run. Edit the program as required. Unload bar stock from delivery truck with overhead crane and place in intermediate storage area. Load part, sequence each tool, enter offset adjustment data, and continue trails (as required) to produce piece meeting drawing specifications. Inspect parts periodically in accordance with established frequency, for conformance to quality and engineering specifications, making offsets (as required) to compensate for tool wear. Indicate work to detect and eliminate run out. Tolerances are very strict and involve a demand for squareness, concentricity, and parallelism. Detect and report faulty operations, defective material, and equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions to the proper supervisor. Maintain workplace in neat and orderly condition.
