What We're Looking For:
Machine operation experience (Smetco preferred!)

What You'll Do:
Operate & maintain the Smetco Machine for pallet sorting
Direct pallets to proper destinations using automated indexers.
Control station operations - managing buttons, switches & machine functions.
Occasionally manually handle pallets (75-85 lbs.) when needed.
Follow safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
Maintain a clean & organized workspace.
Accurately track sorting & grading in the system.
Work overtime & extra shifts when needed (more $$ for you!)

JOB DETAILS
Base pay starts at $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Shift - 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM - Monday - Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for operating machinery that produces metal roofing components for Fortify Building Solutions customers in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to produce basic products without supervision and know when to ask for assistance. Understand that safety and quality are essential to success in our manufacturing shop. You must be a team player; some of our products are ordered the same day the customer receives them.
Must understand the workflow of the metal roofing and related components manufacturing process to be able to complete all tasks in an orderly and timely manner to meet customer satisfaction
Demonstrate the willingness to be cross trained on all machines in the shop and always follow specific directions and instructions to produce orders correctly
Setup machinery with little assistance to perform requested operations for customer orders requiring the ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills
Constantly work safely and comply with all safety regulations
Operate machines to produce the correct items for orders while standing in an upright position for extended periods of time and moving about on foot
Will be trained to use forklift to transport heavy weight metal coils
Willingness to participate daily in shop cleaning responsibilities
Qualifications
High School Graduate or General Education Degree
3+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing is preferred
Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Must have a high attention to detail to consistently produce quality product
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Will lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and more with assistance
The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, and near acuity
