Job Description General Seed Operator-Seasonal The General Seed Operator will assist in all aspects of commercial Heinz hybrid tomato seed operations. Essential Functions & Responsibilities * The ability to maintain good housekeeping standards within the operations area. * The ability to safely perform seed sanitization. This includes: * Treating tomato seed * Working with caustic solution * Using a forklift and overhead crane * The ability to safely run, clean, and maintain a variety of seed cleaning and drying machines. Machinery used: * Seed Dryers * Seed cleaning mills and sizers * Air Columns * Single unit baggers and scales * Moves seed sacks and pallets to proper inventory location of seed storage vaults and to packaging area for orders. * Sorts and organizes seed shipments on arrival. * Ensures all products manufactured complies with the quality standards and SOPs applicable to this specific operation function. Expected Experience & Required Skills * Safely operate a forklift, electric and/or manual pallet jack. * Ability to process orders or work on tasks assigned to oneself with minimal supervision and minimal errors. * High attention to detail and ability to clearly record numbers & data: * Work records and machinery logs. * Lot numbers and tag information * Inventory and/or order quantities * Comfortable working in small spaces (seed dryers) that require cleaning with compressed air. * The ability to work from heights of 20 feet, on a platform, or safety ladder. * Must wear all required PPE for tasks and comply with LOTO policy. Work Environment & Schedule This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and additionally, this role requires a normal work schedule of M-F, first shift, with overtime during peak season. JOB TITLE: Production Technician I SHIFT SCHEDULES: ***Please confirm which shift(s) you are interested in when submitting your application Day Shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm Swing Shift: 1:00pm - 9:30pm (10% shift differential on top of hourly base pay) Graveyard: 9:00pm - 5:30am (15% shift differential on top of hourly base pay) SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: As a entry level Production Technician I at Toray, the technician will support the production department by assisting the senior level operators. Duties include learning Toray's quality standard by understanding how to check for defects and hourly checks of the machine. Entry technician will review the quality process and should be able to identify quality issues with oversight from senior technicians. Additionally, the technician will package rolls and obtain raw materials and packaging supplies. As time progresses, the technician should be able to follow detailed instructions and work under close supervision to complete allocated tasks. Tasks would include set up of the machine with full oversight, be able to prioritize routine tasks to improve efficiency, and troubleshoot minor production-related issues. Also, the technician must be able to follow procedures which include use of personal protection equipment (where relevant) to safeguard themselves, other employees, and the work environment. Entry level Production Technician I will be trained and expected to dispose of hazardous waste safely in the proper area. Production Operator IIAs an Aseptic Production Operator II, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of aseptic manufacturing processes and equipment. You will focus mostly on the Aseptic Block Equipment (Blowmolder, Filler, and its peripherals devices). You will play a crucial role in maintaining sterile conditions and producing high-quality beverage products. As a senior production team member, you will also provide junior operators guidance, training, and support. Key Responsibilities Execute aseptic manufacturing processes in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This includes preparation, setup, operation, and monitoring of aseptic blowing/ filling, cleaning, and sterilizing the aseptic block equipment. Knowledge about Chemicals used in the Aseptic Block Equipment and their critical interactions (GHS & SDS). Overall knowledge about Aseptic Production, such as basic concepts about Microbiology and pH, Low Acid and High Acid Products, and causes of sterility loss. Monitor all the Aseptic Block equipment Critical Control Points (CCP), using a Human Machine Interface (HMI), to ensure the final product sterility is maintained. Identify and address potential contamination risks and work with your Supervisor and Quality/ Maintenance Teams to mitigate/ eliminate them. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Aseptic Block Equipment, such as filling and blow molding machines, sterilizers, and filtration systems. Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls. Be alert to the alarms and act quickly to adjust equipment to prevent unnecessary downtime. Perform routine equipment maintenance, which involves cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating (CIL) the Aseptic Block Equipment. These routine activities will be performed under Maintenance Technician supervision to maintain good equipment performance. Follow Quality Control Niagara's procedures for in-process checks, sampling, and inspections to ensure product quality and compliance. Perform visual inspections, measurements, and other quality control tests to identify deviations or defects and take appropriate corrective actions. Responsible for testing Torque, Top load, Bottle Section weights, and Cleaning/ Sterilization Chemicals concentrations (ability to perform Titrations) Responsible for accurately documenting all production activities, including Production Logs, Machine Reports, Quality Reports, and Downtime Reports, using software such as Presage and Infinity. Adhere to cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance with Niagara's Quality Systems and external regulatory bodies.
