About the Role
The ProductionOperator is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing activities including material preparation, equipment setup, process monitoring, and execution of production tasks. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring safe, consistent, and efficient operations across casting, machining, and finishing areas. Operators work closely with team leads, maintenance, and engineering to maintain high safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
Perform daily equipment and area inspections prior to operation.
Prepare materials, load components, and set up equipment following work instructions and SOPs.
Safely operate material-handling equipment as required.
Monitor, operate, and adjust magnet manufacturing and processing equipment as well as other production machinery including high precision pressing, sintering, grinding, or coating processes.
Control and fine-tune process parameters to ensure consistent quality and throughput.
Record and report production data accurately in ERP and digital systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
Assist with cross-training and support other production areas as needed.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; Ceramics, machining, plastics or other high volume fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to housekeeping standards.
Basic computer literacy (ERP, data entry, Excel).
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-temperature, and industrial environments.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Experience with operating industrial machinery, milling, machining, grinding, or finishing processes.

Encompasses all equipment including but not limited to: CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, CNC Band Saw, CNC Bridge Mill, Water Jet, HVAC Preventive Maintenance, Passivation System (Tanks), welding equipment, press break, manual machines, blast booth, paint booth, and an air compressor with corresponding distribution system.
Assignments may include modification of commercial items, and fabrication of developmental equipment and devices, a limited number of equipment prototypes and one-of-a-kind items. Items machined are made from metals and metal alloys including Stainless Steel (SS), Carbon Steel (CS), Aluminum (AL), and other metals that are limited in use primarily to the military.
Incumbent works and plans sequences of operation from verbal instructions, rough sketches, or blueprints and frequently works from only a description or specification of end item requirement without an outline of the steps and methods required to meet these requirements. Based on experience in working with metals, determines what methods and fabrication processes to use to obtain required factors such as strength, desired life span of item, surface finish, location of component equipment, corrosion and other properties.
Incumbent plans and lays out work; determines procedures, machines, tools, equipment and attachments to be used; determines proper type and size of raw stock needed; and determines machine speeds and feeds necessary to attain required finishes and tolerances, taking into consideration the type of tools to be used and the material to be machined.
Education and Experience - Required/Preferred:
Experience in both CNC and manual machining processes and setup

Experience and knowledge in preventative maintenance and calibration techniques

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Performing routine inspections on turbines to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Preventative maintenance on wind turbines and associated systems to reduce downtime and maximize energy production.
Fault diagnosis and resolution of technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technology.
Reporting and documentation of work completed, including identifying issues, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
