Summary:
We are looking for individuals with or without prior experience in production assembly. High attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency and a team player are key qualities to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for laying up panels and liners prior to the work order to load and unload into the press and assembling precut material slices (Balsa, Aluminum, Nomex) into panels or liners.
Will check core accuracy according to work order and that orders are properly signed off on.
Prepare and stage all left over materials to be returned back to warehouse.
Ensures all materials used are within shelf-life requirements.
Makes sure housekeeping is being maintained and all containers are properly labeled.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-year Manufacturing experience (Assembly/Machine Operating/Warehouse)
Basic PC Computer Skills
Must be able to lift, push & pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to reach, grab, pull and stand for entirety of shift.
A minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.

Summary Description:

Ensure any packaging material is returned to staging area if not being used by incoming shift (film, shrink film, etc.)
Submit work orders when needed, with all the details concerning the problem.
Assist or oversee the training of new employees.
Assist with changeovers, machine setup and cleaning.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Ability to read and record written instructions from an operator packaging check sheet.
Perform SPC (computer) data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications.
Perform all appropriate Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation as required.
Ability to work independently.
Notify Supervision of any issues.
Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices.
Must be trained and demonstrate full understanding and competency in LOTO procedure

A Machine Operator Packaging person will be accountable to the Production Supervisor for fulfillment of his or her duties. The performance of a Machine Operator Packaging person will be measured to the degree of his or her production levels and quality of work performed in these assigned areas.
