* Inspects cutting tools for wear to ensure the quality of parts, reports worn tools to the supervisor or set up person, and makes adjustments during production run as required to maintain quality parts and to keep the machine running
* Maintains coolant levels to ensure a steady supply of coolant/cutting fluids to the machine
* Maintains workstation/cell in organized manner and in compliance with any applicable safety standards
* Receives and, when assigned, provides cross-training for other tasks related to department functions and procedures
* Performs minor preventive maintenance to equipment
* Performs other job-related duties as required by management
* Adheres to safety guidelines and the correct procedures for performing tasks to prevent personal injury or damage to product and/or equipment

Summary/Objective

Noble Biomaterials, Inc is currently seeking a Machine Operator for our 3pm-11pm shift.

Extra $1.00/hour during 2nd shift hours

What You'll Do:
Operate and monitor production machines.
Perform quality checks and inspect finished products for defects.
Troubleshoot reasons for defects and contact maintenance for assistance when required.
Enter daily work into computer system.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure operational efficiency
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Flexibility
Employees in this position may be assigned to different work areas or job duties based on production demands. Applicants should be comfortable learning new tasks and adapting to changing priorities.

Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods (up to 20 lbs. occasionally)
Ability to work in a team environment
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedures
Willingness to work assigned shifts and occasional overtime

What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED

Summary/Objective
The Laser Machine Operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of Olympia's manufacturing needs.
Essential Functions
Perform typical laser cutting operations
Select proper cutting program
Create proper set up for cutting
Adjust laser beam focal point.
Create nests and identify proper metals/thickness
Perform prescribed maintenance as required
Check dimensions for accuracy
Perform all parts inspections.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
May work at different workstations as production needs require

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Temperature is varied to the temperature outside due to open doors and garages.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position during the first shift of the workday, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of a high school education or GED equivalent
Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals, with basic geometry skills being a plus
Must be able to problem solve, manage time, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Great communication and organizational skills and extreme attention to detail and safety
