This hands-on role involves mastering various stages of our production process, from raw material preparation to glazing and packaging, all while maintaining our high standards of quality and safety. Crafting Tile: Prepare and mix raw materials for ceramic tile and glazes, operate production machinery, and perform intricate assembly tasks.
Quality & Inspection: Sort, lift, catch, and safely package finished tile, conducting thorough quality checks to ensure our products meet Fireclay's signature quality standards.
Inventory & Organization: Assist with pulling and organizing materials for various departments (Glaze, Mosaics, Hand Painting).
Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, diligently adhering to all safety protocols.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other production departments and support additional tasks as needed to meet production goals.

Proven ability to work independently and solve practical problems with a logical approach, under general supervision.

Potential to run in house laser cutter. Load sheets, build cutting nest, un-nest parts.
Potential to run in house press brake.
Follows instructions and coaching of shop foreman and engineering department to ensure quality meets Van Compass brand standards.

Job Description:
Packaging Technicians will routinely inspect products using manual or semi-automatic inspection processes. Products to be inspected are provided in a variety of vial sizes and fill volumes. Technicians will operate critical processing equipment within the SVP facility according to SVP and cGMP. Accurately complete documentation for operations performed. Performance of operational checks, preventive care, and minor adjustments to equipment, as well as cross-training, are all also required.
* Pass inspection qualification program. Inspection qualification program must be maintained annually.
* Inspect product at assigned areas to ensure production of quality products.
* Operation of the following equipment within SVP: Inspection equipment, labeling equipment, shrink-wrapping and Packaging equipment, and any other equipment used by SVP.
* Read and follow established Standard Operating Procedures covering operation and documentation of production processes.
* Accurate documentation of production processes on production records.
* Perform accountability of product components at appropriate stages of production process.
* Perform and document preventative care of major assigned pieces of equipment. Minor adjustments to equipment as needed to keep production line running.
* Perform equipment set-up and changeover and clean up appropriate for scheduled production run
* Maintain a clean work area.
* Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Specialist. Receive any training or education necessary to the performance of an assigned activity.

The Forming Machine Operator/Set- Up Technician is responsible for the set-up and operations of shuttle vacuum and pressure forming machines, rotary vacuum and pressure forming machines, band saws for rough trimming, table routers, and slit saws for trimming while safety and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review Work Area Instructions, Pick Sheets, Bill of Materials, Work Instructions, Inspection Plans, Customer Drawings and Specifications, FPSS data, etc., to determine materials, process parameters, and procedures for forming machines.
Press control buttons to activate auto cycles.
Record and maintain production and process data per Work Area Instructions.
Inspect and measure parts per Work Instructions, Control Samples, Inspection Plans, and Customer Drawings to verify conformance to quality standards.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and process deviations.
To regulate the forming process, adjust machine settings and controls, timers, pressure values, temperatures, etc.
Execute set-up procedures for all forming machines (e.g., loading tools and programs, running first parts, etc.).
Notify supervisors when formed parts fail to meet standards.
Demonstrate understanding of regular vacuum and pressure forming techniques and processes.
Obtain Forklift Certification according to Company requirements.

Collins Aerospace in Spokane WA is hiring for a motivated entry level Machine Operator I in our Machine Shop. You will learn and be responsible for the set-up, calibration and operation of machines used in the production process. Training provided on the job.
The Machine Shop is responsible for ensuring features are cut into the densified carbon material from Furnace Deck. This highly complex process requires operators to have sound math skills and meticulous attention to detail as well as a mechanically inclined mind. Physical work is present but much less demanding than some departments. This stage of the process requires operators to operate large machines and perform tasks assigned for quality control and data integrity within digital systems.

What You Will Do
You will part of a team-oriented atmosphere and interact with other functional groups (e.g., engineering) on technical matters.
You will setup CNC machines and run parts (training provided)
You will follow a weekly Preventative Maintenance process.
You will follow applicable instructions (WI, SOP, Reference documents).
You will use precision gauging tools (including CMM), verifying gauge calibration (micrometers, calipers, drills, inserts, etc.).
You will identify and document out-of-spec conditions.
You will complete daily machine inspections, calibration verification.
You will follow First Piece Inspection procedure, tools, inserts and their functions.
You will adhere to all safety policies (Collins Aerospace Cardinal Rules)
You will participate in 5S/continuous improvement processes (ACE).
You will observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
You will comply with all company policies and procedures.
You will maintain a clean and organized work area.
You will adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures.
You will have the ability to prioritize tasks under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgment are required.
You will work 4 days on/4 days off - 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks.

Your Daily Impact
Operate the Shark filling machine to produce vape cartridges, pods, syringes, and dab products.

Production welding of product runs, from low to high quantity run sizes.
MIG welding of steel sheet metal parts
Possible TIG welding of Aluminum parts if you are capable
Potential to run in house laser cutter. Load sheets, build cutting nest, un-nest parts.
Potential to run in house press brake.
Follows instructions and coaching of shop foreman and engineering department to ensure quality meets Van Compass brand standards.

The main function of the Area Specialist is to coordinate personnel to achieve the desired production schedule. This person will work closely with peer training specialists to ensure compliance with cGMPs prior to assigning personnel to areas. * Provide effective day-to-day leadership and oversight for small groups ranging in size from 5 to 25 team members
* Schedule team members proficiently to achieve target turnaround times and meet production schedule targets
* Area SME for SOP updates and proposed equipment/process changes
