Job Description This position has the knowledge and demonstrates ability to operate state of the art mixers, pumping equipment, hi-speed mixers, and tinting equipment in the production area. Follow process orders from beginning to end and record all pertinent information. Individual will add materials at specified quantities and times, observe temperatures and or mixtures and chemical reactions, record necessary batch information, and take, conduct and record samples at designated times to ensure timely, consistent, quality batches. Mixer will operate forklift and other material handling equipment. Participate in confined space entry pot cleaning activities, which include use of body harness and extraction system. Mixing position will participate in determining and implementing corrective actions. This position may also be assigned tasks in other functional areas as required to help support overall success of the facility. Compensation Range: $23.50 - $25.50 per hour Qualifications Basic qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. 1 year of experience in manufacturing is preferred. 1 year of forklift experience is preferred. Must have experience in confined space entry. Previous mixing or compounding experience a plus. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to position. Clean and prepare workstation and machines. Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specified requirements, soldering experience is an asset. Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems. Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies. Check final assembly for finish, labelling, and packaging methods. Production reporting Complete other tasks as required and/or directed. Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures and related labor laws. Will lift 65 pounds throughout the shift. Maximum lifting requirements are 80 - 90 pounds and must be able to push/pull up to 100 - 150 pounds. Must be able to wear all required PPE including air purified respirators. We have several full-time shifts available (1st and 2nd). All positions will work on-site at our facility near I-70 and Monaco. We are currently seeking an experienced machine operator or an individual looking to become a machine operator. Our Machine Operators work with a variety of heavy manufacturing equipment producing metal products including threaded and unthreaded rod, sheet metal, landscaping edging, angled pieces, and more. Other responsibilities include: * Adherence with our safety regulations. * Material handling, loading, and unloading of machines. * Basic maintenance including making adjustments, lubrication, and set-up. * Performing quality checks on finished products. * Lifting, bending, and preforming repetitive, physical, tasks. **Who we are seeking in an applicant:** We are willing to train someone to run various types of machinery if they are willing to learn and have good mechanical aptitude.
