Utilizes all Quad procedures, and maintains required paperwork relating to bindery operations. Communicates professionally with all internal and external customers. This position directly helps Quad drive profitability by reducing the cost of errors through consistent work quality and improved efficiencies. Bindery operator is night shift 12-hours (7pm-7am). Starting salary is $21.55 but willing to go higher based off experience and knowledge of our equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads and understands Job Instructions, Formatted sample, machine templates, and Make-ready/sign-off procedures
Performs Daily Preventative Maintenance on assigned bindery equipment
Responsible for the safe and effective operation of assigned bindery equipment.
Performs Quality Checks on products.
Provides training and direction to newly hired or promoted bindery crewmembers.
Responsible for maintaining production standards
Follows all established safety procedures and guidelines.
Maintains job-related records and inputs production into Quad systems as required.
Manages self-development
Actively participates in safety programs, follows safety policies and procedures and maintains a safe work environment.

REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education, and abilities):
2-3 years of bindery Experience
Knowledge of MBO folders (both sheet fed and roll fed), rollem slit/score/perf units, spedo cutters, hot melt and cold glue units, and auto feed laminators and die cutters, equipment helpful

Overview: The Production Associate will provide support to manage the bulk production process to meet in warehouse dates for our private label and non-private label brands for our retailers.
Responsibilities:
Independently manages customer orders as allocated by the souring team from beginning to end while escalating issues to their manager when necessary.

Partners with the Packaging Team to ensure all approvals are complete (Licensor/ Customer approval, fit approval, digital and physical submits) to meet the factories TNA deadlines.
Prepares packing guidelines for the factory for each customer order.
Reviews all upc's, GTIN's, and carton markings with the warehouse and sales's op's team for factories shipment approval.
Partners with our factory QA team overseas to be sure that all inspections take place and pass prior to shipments.
Issues and send Po's to factories from Blue Cherry
Track all po shipments for on time delivery and report any delays to the manager and sales operation team.

Education & Experience
HS Diploma or 2+ years of related field experience
1+ years of experience in a leadership role
2+ years of production or manufacturing experience, preferably with 1+ years in cannabis industry
Must have a solid understanding of the cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further understanding and knowledge of the industry, regulations, market trends and competition
Experience working with various machines or electrical systems
Proven track record of managing the scope of operations in a complex and highly regulated business environment
Cannabis product knowledge strongly preferred
Working knowledge of Metrc
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to work a fully flexible schedule including nights and weekends if necessary
Extensive use of hands, including repetitive movements

Must pass all required background checks
Must have a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities
* Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
* Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
* Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
* Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
* Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
* Efficiently use standard and precision measuring equipment (tape measurer & calipers)
* Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to adjust to sudden work pattern or schedule changes
* Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policy
* Properly communicate finishing/quality concerns, service level statuses, and equipment performance issues to the appropriate personnel
Qualifications
* Experience in manufacturing, warehouse OR military environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial
* Ability to effectively and safely use a wide variety of hand measuring tools, wrenches, files, and various small tools associated with Englert machines
* Basic computer knowledge
* Basic math since we are dealing with Infor that requires operators to input data into the system

* One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
Other Considerations/Physical Requirements
* Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
* Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
* Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours.

Programming and manufacturing experience REQ D (WE WILL NOT TRAIN YOU, ONLY PERSONS WITH EXPERIENCE PLEASE APPLY) Candidates must work independently and have 3 + years experience. We use late model equipment from Mori Seiki, Fadal, Star, Flow, Amada and Mitsubishi.

Requirements:
Metal working experience

The ability to think out of the box, while being able to take direct instruction.
The know-how to read, examine, and understand blueprints.
The ability to draft and correct if and when needed for programmers
