1. Work safely and in compliance with all Federal, State and Local rules and regulations, as well as all Beta Offshore company policies and procedures.
2. Report to and assist the Crane Operator with all duties relating to the crane and movement of equipment, supplies and people on and off the platform.
3. Learn and assist with crane maintenance, rigging and the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.
4. Assist where needed. This includes maintenance and clean up duties.
5. The Roustabout also assists other trade crafts and operations personnel with tasks as needed and learns other positions through cross-training.
6. Complete a thorough shift change over report for next crew.

3. Skills Required:

About the job
Most of our new production operators begin their employment in the Smelter "Potroom", although we may have other production positions available. All of our production positions require the use of equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and shipping our products. While the exact duties may vary based on the area hired into, a production operator may be expected to handle heavy machinery such as forklifts, cranes, etc., as well as performing specialized tasks. Most importantly, a production operator must adhere to safety guidelines.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED is required. AN UPDATED RESUME AND HIGH SCHOOL/GED DIPLOMA MUST BE UPLOADED TO THIS APPLICATION. If you have had a gap in employment, please note this on your resume. Must be able to perform physically demanding work activities under high temperature conditions. Candidates must successfully pass a skills aptitude, physical, drug test and background check.

WORK HOURS/ENVIRONMENT:
You must be willing and able to work rotating shifts and continuous schedules. Mandatory overtime may also be required.Typical work environment involves primarily indoor work with exposure to hot and cold weather and extreme non-weather related heat is frequent.
