Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity
with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.;
schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 6 years experience OR Master's degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience.
Certification Equivalency: PMP, CPIM and AICP

  • Position is held in New York
  • Remote work is not an option. Resource will need to be onsite 100%.
  • Network Scheduling experience is required (Primavera P6 is preferred. Proficiency with other scheduling software (i.e. MS Project) will be considered.
  • Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Confidential Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

General Assembly and Machine Operator

General assembly and machine operators ("GMO") are expected to operate high speed machine tools for fabricating, assembling and/or or manufacturing automotive or automotive related parts. These jobs include some degree of monitoring the manufacturing / assembly process and recording the results.

1. Specific tasks of GMOs include, but are not limited to the following:

+ work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines produced required parts; and

+ check their designated machines and equipment for problems; and

+ perform maintenance tasks in order to ensure no errors occur with respect to materials produced; and

+ perform quality checks to ensure parts pass quality checks; and

+ check and prepare raw materials that a machine needs to work and load these materials appropriately; and

+ ability to read and decipher blue prints; and

+ understand and execute safe machine operation and practices.

2. Essential physical and cognitive skills necessary for GMOS include, but are not limited to the following:

+ basic math, reading and analytical skills to understand how blue prints, models and schematics work; and

+ basic problem solving skills to understand why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors; and

+ attention to detail to understand working with precision equipment and avoid sub-quality parts; and

+ physical stamina to conduct repetitive and labor intensive manufacturing and general assembly tasks, such as:

+ standing/walking on industrial surfaces for up to 12 hours a day and up to 7 days a week,

+ loading and unloading machine parts between 20-35 pounds for up to 12 hours a day and up to 7 days a week; and

+ be able to look up and down, lift, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb, crouch/kneel, reach above shoulder level, push, pull using various body parts including: back, neck, legs and arms related to assembly, loading and machine operation and maintenance.

+ be able to repeatedly pick up and/or sort small, medium and large sized parts (dexterity)

+ ability to work in a fast past environment exposed to machining and standard manufacturing chemicals and odors for up to 12 hours a day and up to 7 days a week; and

+ ability to tolerate varying degrees of temperature, dim and bright lighting and loud noises for up to 12 hours a day and up to 7 days a week.
