Position Summary
Directly supervise and coordinate activities of production employees such as machine operators, sheet metal forming operators, and welders to ensure work schedules and commitments are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate and monitor work activities of production employees in various positions and departments to ensure materials produced meet customer specifications and company standards.
Review and monitor work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals/schedules and/or targets.
Evaluate staffing requirements, work procedures and scheduling system in order to meet budget and time constraints.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate production activities within and/or between departments.
Maintain and monitor production data, such as time, production, cost records. May prepare management/supervisor reports of production results.
Review, analyze, interpret and evaluate production and inspection reports and recommend corrective action as necessary.
Conduct employee training on equipment or work and safety procedures, and/or assign employee training.
Supervise and monitor employee performance through coaching, counseling, and evaluating work performance.
Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluations, corrective actions and/or promotions.
Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training and onboarding of employees.
Work with and among cross functional teams to meet production goals and standards.
Ensure employees work safely and follow safety guidelines.
Work with cross functional teams toward achievement of program initiatives and goals.
Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand, and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.

Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory on all packaging materials and finished goods in the company ERP system.
Assists the Warehouse team on scheduling and completing counts on all packaging material and finished goods monthly.
Responsible for monitoring the condition of all packaging equipment and reporting to Maintenance and Operations any equipment that is out of spec or damaged.

Musco Center works closely with the College of Performing Arts, Chapman University Departments, and Musco Center Presents touring artists and companies to present exemplary performances and events in our facility. The Assistant Production Manager is a key position in managing these relationships and serving these users, with an emphasis on balancing artistic vision and integrity with practical needs via creative problem solving. The Assistant Production Manager, supported by the Director of Production, provides expertise and support for stage productions and festivals at Musco Center. This support includes: Rider review & interpretation; Production advance, including, as needed, hospitality, housing, transportation; and Day-of production support of artists as well as production staff; Oversight of rehearsals and performances as assigned - this position is often the ranking Musco Center representative for after-hours CoPA rehearsals, and for some CoPA performances. The Manufacturing Supervisor provides leadership and supervises direct labor employees involved in manufacturing Shur-Lok products. Manages assigned company resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) to achieve work schedules and satisfy customer requirements efficiently and cost-effectively. May occasionally operate production equipment or perform hands-on production tasks, not to exceed 20 % of the workday (such activities must be cleared in advance by the Manufacturing Manager).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Complies with and enforces all company safety rules and regulations. These include using company-provided personal protective equipment/supplies (i.e., safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes); maintaining a clean work area; operating equipment and using tools safely; correcting unsafe conditions or practices.
Effectively leverages team leaders to manage a large team of employees to set performance expectations.
