Guides the day-to-day activities for a line or area in a food processing facility ensuring standards are met in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Develops and implements plans to ensure KPIs are met, including maintaining safety culture and ensuring continuous improvement through the utilization of Butterball Operating System Solutions (BOSS). Supports and empowers change at the floor level.
Key Responsibilities
Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of tasks. Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensures team understands and follows all safety policies and procedures. Conducts routine safety and quality audits providing on-the-floor coaching as needed.
Serves as a role model and ensures team's understanding of, and compliance, with all company policies and regulatory guidelines (including USDA, OSHA, DOL, EEOC, HACCP etc.)
Accountable for team's adherence to manufacturing protocols, product specifications, quality guidelines.
Ensures effective use of labor, tools, supplies, and equipment to maximize efficiency and capacity.
Conducts routine scanning of department to identify and solve problems (e.g. equipment operations, processes, etc.) or escalate as needed. Identifies and addresses needs for further training and development.
Maintains accurate and timely records of production data. Responsible for identifying and resolving gaps in efficiency and quality.
Updates daily/weekly department reports (i.e. production reports, attendance reports, preflight check list, staffing reports, training reports).
Participates in investigations (e.g. accidents, employee complaints, etc.). Conducts initial investigation, ensures all information is gathered and properly documented, and resolves limited employee complaints.
Participates in department / facility meetings. Provides consultation and advice drawing from day-to-day practical experience in their area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)

We are seeking a hands-on, process-driven Production Supervisor to join our AP Emissions team in the automotive aftermarket manufacturing industry. This person will help lead operations in our newly commissioned catalytic converter production line. Operational Execution & Production Oversight
* Lead daily production operations of the automated catalytic converter line with strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving skills to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
* Supervise and support 2 machine operators, providing guidance, on-the-job training, and performance feedback.
* Monitor and interpret performance metrics (OEE, scrap, downtime, throughput), using data analysis and critical thinking to adjust priorities, allocate resources, and maintain production flow in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Ensure production planning and scheduling is executed in alignment with goals and customer requirements.
* Oversee execution of work instructions, SOPs, and quality control checks throughout the automated production process.
* Monitor automated equipment performance (robotics, conveyors, vision systems, PLC-controlled machinery) and coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to resolve issues promptly
* Participate in startup, commissioning, and process validation of the new production line, collaborating closely with Automation and Engineering teams.

Production Trainer 1st Processing - Day Shift
Position Summary:
Production Trainers provide on the job training to teach production associates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful employees of Butterball LLC. Trainers act as mentors to associates and provide guidance and support.
Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:
Follow up on classroom training regarding Job Hazards, PPE, and Food Safety
Review and explain job instruction training to new associates
Work with team lead and supervisor to ensure associates can perform their job task correctly and safely
Provide job improvement training for current associates
Help with Production department projects
Communicate with Department Superintendent regarding daily work schedule as well as departmental needs
Responsible for notifying Department Superintendent when corrections are necessary for OJT/JSA
Any other duties assigned by Department Manager
Train on the following subjects:
Food Safety/GMP's/Food Defense
Evacuation
Good Manufacturing Practices
Proper use of PPE
Ergonomics and Stretching exercises to relieve muscle fatigue.
Knife & Scissor Sharpening
Nail Care
Air Shears operation
Yields
Safety Topic Awareness: Lock Out Tag Out, HAZCOM, EAP, PSM/RMP, Confined Space, PPE, Hearing Conservation, Ergonomic and Safe lifting, Blood Bourne Pathogen
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledgeable of all departmental jobs (online and offline) with the ability to describe and perform all line tasks at line speed.
Knowledgeable in all OJT/JSA for the department
Bilingual English-Creole (read, write, speak) preferred
