We are currently seeking a Production Control Manager to oversee all aspects of materials planning, scheduling, inventory, and logistics. This role is essential to ensuring smooth production operations, timely delivery to customers, and optimal inventory management across the site.
The Production Control Manager will lead the coordination of materials and production planning while managing a team of professionals and working closely with manufacturing, procurement, and customer-facing teams to ensure operational success.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all materials management functions, including planning, inventory control, and distribution, to support production goals and customer satisfaction.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs, obsolescence, and expedited shipping expenses.
Manage and improve inventory processes, including physical inventory, cycle counting, and year-end valuation.
Coordinate model year phase-outs and manage obsolescence and termination claims as required.
Direct production planning and scheduling to align with sales forecasts and ensure efficient use of labor and equipment. Monitor and resolve schedule deviations.
Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding order releases and delivery expectations.
Investigate and resolve material shortages or supply chain disruptions.
Develop and maintain reporting systems related to inventory, production, and materials functions.
Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, including proper storage of inbound and outbound materials and finished goods.
Ensure all departmental procedures align with company policies and best practices.
Lead, coach, and develop the Production Control team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field (required)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in production control, supply chain, or manufacturing operations (preferred)
Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
Proficiency in production planning, inventory control, and materials management systems
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing demands

Job Description:

Job Description
The Manufacturing Supervisor performs frontline supervisory functions and is responsible for safety, corrective action, associate relations, housekeeping, and performance reviews for hourly associates at one of our largest windows and doors production locations in North America. Assist in recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Supervises, directs, advises, and trains manufacturing team members in accordance with established manufacturing policies and procedures to ensure production demands are met. Ensures all activities are focused on quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. In addition, this position will actively encourage and support concepts of associate involvement, continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing concepts. This position is on first shift, Monday through Friday, 5:30am-3:30pm.
* Facilitates the day to day operations of building products to meet production demands, while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental responsibility

* Knowledge and understanding of all safety policies, and regulations and to be able to address all unsafe acts and conditions.
* Provides coaching and counseling to associates and corrective action when needed, always following the company guidelines.
* Identifies and assists with implementations for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 1-3 years of progressively responsible supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Relevant experience in sheet extrusion strongly preferred for extrusion facilities, fenestration experience strongly preferred for windows facilities.
* Highly developed oral and written communication skills, combined with the ability to educate and train non-degreed operators and technicians in a production environment.

The Production Manager is responsible for the crew and the processes that transform a Perkins diesel engine into its final configuration for incorporation into an OEM piece of equipment or a completed functional piece of equipment, be it a pump, generator set or power unit, to satisfy the requirements of an end-user. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
In concert with the sales and engineering departments to ensure that engines are ordered to the most cost-effective and efficient configuration to meet the specifications of the customer while facilitating the most efficient and cost-effective manufacture and assembly of the final product by the value/add production shop.
The position is responsible for the scheduling and optimization of owned and vendor resources and bought-in products for OEM value-add reconfigurations and the development of bills of material and standard costings for same.
Develop sources of supply and cultivate cost-efficient long term supplier relationships with quality vendors of bought-in items or manufactured sub-assemblies. Constantly scan the vendor world for products offering Pathfinder technical superiority and/or more cost-effective alternate production paths while being mindful of the ‘build versus buy' ramifications.

expectations are communicated and met or exceeded as part of the Pathfinder production process as well as by our trusted third-party vendor partners. Coordinate and participate in joint OEM kickoff meetings, develop project timelines and own and modify the scope of supply. Also, work with the Account Team to develop, track and modify key milestone dates, hold team members accountable, and lead regular project specific meetings.
The department is responsible for ensuring that all activities performed in the preparation of units prior to customer delivery are done in a timely manner, according to the schedule, with great care to communicate with customers and end-users as appropriate regarding any deviation from spec and/or delivery. Obtain written customer acknowledgement as to the ramifications of those changes to performance, cost and/or delivery.
As the keeper of the master schedule, the position should have regular (no less than weekly) communication with the sales and engineering departments regarding scheduling and timing of delivery of engines and engine driven packages for customer use.
Responsible for the profitability of the department, the development and well-being of the staff, and the effective and efficient use of assets employed.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or related equivalent required.
