We are searching for a Production Superintendent to support a lumber facility in Magnolia/McCombs, MS. This person will be responsible for the safe coordination and oversight of the daily activities in the mill, kilns, and shipping departments, including interfacing with the sales teams. You will embody safety and demonstrate excellent team skills with a proven ability to lead and develop people.
Responsibilities
Oversee hiring, planning, scheduling, and daily supervision of shift supervisors and hourly production staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing development.

Qualifications

What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $68,371-$102,556 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. * Work with process engineering and materials manager to support manufacturing processes. Collaborate with the materials department to ensure the resources on hand meet the needs of the active work orders.
* Work closely with quality and engineering when required on special products.
* Support activities within compliance to ISO Quality System procedures.
* Maintain compliance with all Marmon IEI Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
* Contribute, support, and communicate facility continuous improvement initiatives (i.e., Gemba board meetings).
* Lead production meetings and communicate necessary information related to production, quality, safety, projects, company initiatives, etc.
* Slate schedule populated job boards and monitor advancement of jobs through the queue as they progress.
* Review quality specifications for inconsistencies and escalate to the productionsupervisor and engineering as needed.
* Serve as the main point of contact for mechanical equipment issues and escalate to maintenance as needed.
* Support and participate in Lean/5S and process improvement initiatives.
* Responsible for training new machine operators and/or cross training existing operators.
* Work as a team with peers, managers and Marmon IEI employees.
* Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
Education and Experience Preferred:
* High School education or GED is required. AA/BA/BS in Manufacturing or related field is preferred.

* A combination of equivalent of education and experience is acceptable.
* Wire and Cable experience is strongly preferred.
