JOB SUMMARY
As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate activities of production workers on the shop floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify, prioritize and pull materials identified from manufacturing work orders.
* Oversee set up or assist in setting up machinery to proper dimensions specified on manufacturing work orders.
* Support and lead internal/external audits to ensure and verify compliance to applicable requirements.
* Ensure finished material is delivered to other work areas.
* Prioritize, coordinate and assign work flow for manufacturing area of supervision.
* Ensure work orders are properly interpreted and aligned with specifications such as; materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, and dimensions/tolerances.
* Ensure measuring equipment is effectively utilized such as; calipers, micrometers, height gage, and other measuring equipment needed to complete work.
* Understand prescribed procedures to inspect part(s) and product(s) produced to assure compliance to specifications to eliminate defects, scrap, rework, etc.
* Ensure part(s) meet all Customer Quality requirements.
* Identify and correct root causes for quality problems.
* Create instructions for new work coming to the area when necessary. Must be able to effectively describe to manufacturing engineers the instructions to perform task for the master planning. Retain records and pictorials of incoming work for future needs and training.
* Oversee and ensure implementation of 5S program in the area to improve work flow and maintain safety of workers in the area.
* Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
* Assure equipment in work area is kept in a clean and orderly condition and maintained on a daily basis.
* Detect and report defective equipment, materials and/or faulty operations to plant manager.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency and safety.
* Coordinate with Human Resources Generalist to address issues pertaining to employee performance, grievances and misconduct.
* Hold employees accountable to expectations.
* Complete and issue employee performance appraisals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for direct supervision of department employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Our Ideal candidate is someone who is looking for a long-term position and to grow with our company. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Service all CertaPro Painters' customers with the objective of meeting their painting needs and building customers for life.
Schedule and mange multiple projects and crews at one time.
· Develop a close working relationship with the Sales Associates and the Office Associate to ensure all expectations set forth with the customers are met and best executed.
· Develop a recruiting, development, and retention program for the Job Site Supervisors as well as properly onboarding them to setting them up for production success.
· Ensure that all field programs and systems are being executed.
· Responsible for providing ongoing training and inspections related to safety, as well as conducting safety meetings.
· Responsible for ensuring that all crews are following Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines around Lead Safety and possess and maintain the required Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
· Core hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Coverage days to be discussed and agreed on. Saturday coverage availability during peak season (April through October) required. Off-shift (evenings, nights) hours may be required for project management purposes.
Qualifications
Experience in scheduling
Knowledge of paint and/or painting experience is preferred
Hands on construction trade experience a plus
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Self-motivation and ability to work efficiently without direction
Basic computer and technology skills
Not afraid to confront challenges head on
A great eye for detail
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

This role requires adequate knowledge of hardscapes and soft-soaps in the landscaping industry. We are looking for someone who has a good attitude and is willing to be flexible with the job being done for the day. This position is a floating position between production/operations/estimating. Most of the time you will be on the jobsite with the other crew members laying sod, pavers, or installing fencing. Must be skilled in these areas.
You are a proactive leader and self-starter who can interact with the public and our employees. You have a strong work ethic and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. You have experience in landscaping and at least two years of supervisory experience, as well as proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.Specific Responsibilities:
Manage personnel functions including recruiting, training, coaching, and ongoing performance management
Schedule work services and manage projects and services to completion
Contribute to company sales through lead generation, account management and maximizing upsell opportunities when they are present
Maintain a clean and well-stocked office and shop
Set and manage budgets
Improve upon current processes to ensure quality, profitability, and future growth

Background in landscape industry

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated team effectiveness with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to promote a collaborative team environment focused on teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Basic presentation skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Willingness to perform other production responsibilities as necessary (ex. secondary assembly tasks as needed)
Preferred:
Associates Degree or higher in related field
