Lonza has multiple openings for new Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operators to join their growing pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Bend, Oregon.
A pharmaceutical manufacturing operator plays a key role in producing medicines safely and accurately. In this job, you'll work with specialized equipment to mix, fill, and package medications while following strict safety and cleanliness rules. You'll carefully measure ingredients, record information, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality standards are upheld through every step of the process. Much of the work happens in cleanroom environments called “suites”, where maintaining hygiene and precision is essential.
Operators are also responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling equipment after each production run to prevent contamination and keep the machinery running smoothly. Regular maintenance, system checks, and testing are part of the job to ensure everything operates safely and efficiently. This work requires significant physical strength, attention to detail, communication skills, and teamwork skills. It's a hands-on role that helps ensure medicines are made to the highest quality and delivered safely to patients.
Shifts are currently either 5:45am-6:15pm or 5:45pm-6:15am rotating between three 12 hour shifts one week followed by four 12 hour shifts the next week with 1 day landing on a weekend every week. You will be required to be flexible for working either shift depending on openings and other factors.
As a Pharmaceutical Operations Technician at Lonza, you will receive:
Starts at $24 per hour + built in Manufacturing Overtime (OT for work over 10 hours each day or over 40 hours per week, whichever is greater $ benefit to you) plus night shift premium of 15% more per hour when working nights

We are now hiring for a Machine Operator! A Machine Operator is responsible for the initial sorting, photographing, decontaminating and drying of all invasive medical devices in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. Decontamination Technicians must be able to work with strong smells (chemicals, body fluids) while handling contamination and/or sharp surgical instruments.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Receive containers of devices from receiving team and confirm all necessary paperwork present
Sort each bin of incoming contaminated devices by device type in a safe manner
Document devices received and forward to appropriate decontamination area or reject if it is a device that is not eligible for reprocessing
Take appropriate steps to decontaminate devices which may be one or more of the following; Use chemical soaks to sanitize and loosen debris, Load devices into baskets and place in ultrasonic bath to loosen debris, Steam clean/scrub devices, Scrub devices with variety of implements to remove debris (blood, human tissue)
Dry, cleaned devices using compressed air
In each duty previously listed, technician must confirm devices are kept separate according to documentation and/or organizational system
Verify that devices being sent to next production area are an exact match to documentation and paper records, sign off on documents
Assist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals
Other duties as assigned

Position Overview
The Production Operator I report to the Production Manager/Supervisor

Additionally, all hours worked in excess of 10 hours per day are paid out as overtime. Therefore, in a normal work week, Production Operators work three 12-hours days for a total of 36 hours worked per week. In return, they receive 30 hours of regular earnings and 6 hours of overtime per week.

Packaging Operator - Swing Shift

Deschutes Brewery is currently hiring a full-time, Swing Shift Packaging Machine Operator. This position works closely with other co-owners of the team to operate the packaging line, working to get our Damn Tasty Beer into kegs, cans and bottles. We are now hiring for a DVT Technician! A DVT Technician at Medline ReNewal is responsible for all stages of reprocessing compression sleeves and tourniquets in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. DVT Technicians will sort, clean, dry and test devices then package, seal and prepare for shipment. The reprocessing of compression sleeve and tourniquets is a large part of the business model of Medline ReNewal and keeps the 2 work teams busy 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs).
Essential Functions of the Job:
Open boxes to remove DVT laundry bags, stacking on rack system and breaking down and recycling boxes
Sort and count devices, placing plugs on connection tubes before washing and remove after washing to prevent moisture from entering air inflation units
Place compression sleeves and tourniquets into washing machines and washing to company standards
Remove compression sleeves and tourniquets from washing machines when cycles are complete and loading them into bins to transport into the work area
Place sleeves and tourniquets into appropriate drying machine and removing them once complete
Use pressurized air to test air chambers in compression sleeves or tourniquets to ensure proper working order, marking and tagging as appropriate
Use of lint roller to remove any residue or particles remaining after washing and drying of devices
Folding, packaging, labeling and sealing the packages of compression sleeves and tourniquets, confirming devices are accurate according to labels
Inspect the seal of the packaging, double checking that the device in the package matches label description
Preparing boxes, placing devices in the boxes and scanning to track devices, closing/sealing boxes, labeling boxes, then stacking on a pallet and transporting to

This position works closely with other co-owners of the team to operate the packaging line, working to get our Damn Tasty Beer into kegs, cans and bottles. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Read, understand and comply with requirements documentation. Proficiency in gathering information and entering data into computer databases and written documents is required.
Ensure compliance with company, customer, and quality required documentation.
Read assembly drawings or manufacturing drawings to ensure conformance and quality of in-process parts.
Use precision measuring instruments i.e. calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, precision scales.
Interact with Engineering on CAD models prepared for production on DMLS machines, EDM machines and post process requirements.
Interact with Engineers, Technicians, Quality and Management on other technical and customer-related services as needed to develop manufacturing solutions or resolve issues with new or current products.
Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with co-workers to ensure effective throughput of parts through production.
Requirements:
Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
Ability to follow instructions: Written, verbal or electronic communications.
Ability to move, position, lift, and stack parts weighing up to 50 pounds daily.
Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day, including gloves, hearing protection, eye protection, protective footwear, and respirators.
Ability to use and understand general test/measurement equipment including calipers, height gauges, tape measures, etc.
Ability to communicate with customers, teammates, and management with daily updates, hazard concerns, questions, and issues.
Ability to learn technical material relating to additive manufacturing and additive machine maintenance.
Must be able to work first shift, second shift, flexible hours, and weekends.
Required: Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status (ITAR defines “U.S. Person” as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Other Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Background in additive manufacturing, metal fabrication and/or manufacturing a plus. Proficient at working with your hands using various tools is a must.
Demonstrated mechanical, analytical aptitude.

We are now hiring for a Catheter Technician! A Catheter Technician is responsible for sorting, preparation, and cleaning of fluid waste collection devices as well as completion of all associated documentation at the Medline ReNewal plant in Redmond, Oregon. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Receive containers of devices from receiving department and confirm all necessary paperwork is present
Dis-assemble, pre-clean and sort incoming contaminated devices by device type in a safe manner
Take appropriate steps to decontaminate devices which may be one or more of the following; Use chemical soaks to sanitize and loosen debris, Load devices into baskets and place in ultrasonic bath to loosen debris, Scrub devices with a variety of implements to remove debris (blood, human tissue)
Clean and dry devices using approved equipment, which may include compressed air
Reject devices if it does not meet reprocessing requirements/standards
Assemble and package devices to prepare for shipping
Prepare daily reports to track production data
Assist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals
Inspect devices through a microscope for defects
Other duties may be assigned

We are now hiring for an ATM Technician! An ATM Technician at Medline ReNewal is responsible for all stages of reprocessing compression sleeves and tourniquets in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. ATM Technicians will sort, clean, dry and test devices then package, seal and prepare for shipment. The reprocessing of compression sleeve and tourniquets is a large part of the business model of Medline ReNewal and keeps the 2 work teams busy 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs).
Essential Functions of the Job:
Open boxes to remove DVT laundry bags, stacking on rack system and breaking down and recycling boxes
Sort and count devices, placing plugs on connection tubes before washing and remove after washing to prevent moisture from entering air inflation units
Place compression sleeves and tourniquets into washing machines and washing to company standards
Remove compression sleeves and tourniquets from washing machines when cycles are complete and loading them into bins to transport into the work area
Place sleeves and tourniquets into appropriate drying machine and removing them once complete
Use pressurized air to test air chambers in compression sleeves or tourniquets to ensure proper working order, marking and tagging as appropriate
Use of lint roller to remove any residue or particles remaining after washing and drying of devices
Folding, packaging, labeling and sealing the packages of compression sleeves and tourniquets, confirming devices are accurate according to labels
Inspect the seal of the packaging, double checking that the device in the package matches label description
Preparing boxes, placing devices in the boxes and scanning to track devices, closing/sealing boxes, labeling boxes, then stacking on a pallet and transporting to warehouse
Other duties may be assigned
