The Role The Production Technician is responsible for manicuring and packaging plant material and infused products. In this role, maintaining accuracy in weighing product, fulfilling product, labelling, and inventory is paramount. GMP and PPE Requirements: While on the Production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the Production floor must follow the GMP rules outlined in their employee handbook which includes the required hairnets, beard covers, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Production Operators follow all SOPs including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Production Operators also follow HACCP & SQF requirements for food quality and safety. Essential Job Duties: Preforms basic machine operations to include operating machines, stacking raw materials, handling finished product cases, preforming quality inspections and making minor machine adjustments. Monitors the flow of outgoing finished goods and corrects any disturbance in the flow of those goods. Cleans equipment and line continually throughout the shift and maintains a clean safe work area. Expedites repairs to the line working with maintenance as necessary. Keeps daily records of downtime and machine operations. Follows SOPs for all operations. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe area at all times. Must follow all established GMP's. Non-Essential Job Duties: Will perform other related work as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces. Notifies Supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or quality problems. Inspects ground tubes to meet work instruction requirements. Performs a combination of production tasks, which may include loading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, adjusting and operating machinery. May load and unload materials, parts or products; stock to designated work areas; pack products and may clean surface of machines and work areas. Operates machinery and equipment. Inspects ground tubes to meet work instruction requirements. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Able to access databases as necessary to retrieve work instructions in order to perform work. Maintain own productivity while performing the duties mentioned above.
