Summary/Objective: The Production Operator position is responsible for operating wood cutting and finishing equipment, maintaining production records, and communications associated with activities of equipment, product, and customer specification. They are responsible for the machine and builds including its condition and safe operation. Must maintain product quality and production output in accordance with company and customer standards.
Essential Functions:
Ability to read work orders to determine profile type, machine setup procedures, and type of build to be cut.
Select and install cutting heads and all proper tooling on machine according to the pattern.
Run materials through machinery and inspect for proper profile specifications.
Make any required adjustments needed before producing order.
Use machinery to cut wood to customer specifications.
Follow production schedules.
Responsible for general machine/tool maintenance. Check for proper lengths and quality, change tooling when worn.
Complete production records.
Maintain a clean/safe work area at all times.
Perform other duties as required.
Competencies:
Ability to operate machinery safely and determine when maintenance is needed.
Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
Consistently meet project deadlines.
Practical mathematic and measuring skills
Must follow company policies, safety instructions, and wear required protective equipment.
Able to function effectively as part of a productionteam.
Dependable, works well with others, self-motivated.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
1+ year of experience machine operation
Ability to communicate with supervisors and co-workers
Must be able to follow directions + follow specific work procedures/steps

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to airborne particles, dust, debris, moving forklifts, noise, and vibration. Physical demands include:
Walking: Occasionally between work stations or to obtain parts and supplies.
Lifting: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Amrize Building Envelope is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of a
comprehensive product portfolio for commercial building performance solutions,
is currently looking for a highly skilled production worker to work out of our
Bristol, CT facility.
The Production Worker Middle performs general duties that include, but are not
limited to: Measuring bundle heights, checking board lengths and square checks.
Checks for general defects in material. Communicates quality issues to pour table
operators during the production run. Production Worker Middle may also assist
with attaching labels and gluing slats to bundles, adjusting saws and may assist in
loading of packaging machine plastic.
**2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm Monday through Friday**
**Pay: $27.58 plus a $1.00 shift differential!**
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Machine operation with some quality assurance knowledge
+ Monitoring of the product and the equipment i.e. robots, gang saw, crosscutsaw, trim saw, conveyors and packaging equipment
+ Handling and maintaining flow of materials and products according toestablished guidelines
+ Logging the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products
+ Operating low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handlingequipment
+ Other duties as assigned.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
**Education:**
+ High School Diploma
**Required Work Experience:**

**Additional Requirements** :
+ Experience with inventory software, SAP preferred
+ Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally liftand/or move up to 50 pounds.
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
