The candidate will maintain a sense of ownership of the production processes, manufacturing environment and facility. They will be exposed to cell culture clarification, chromatography operations using the Cytiva UNICORN software application, viral inactivation, ultrafiltration/diafiltration systems, various other filtration techniques utilizing single use technologies. Various analytical tools (SoloVPE, pH/Conductivity meters) and general biotechnology auxiliary equipment (pumps, sterile tubing welders and sealers, scales) are used on a daily basis. Following task execution, the Manufacturing Associate I/II will review the executed production records (SR's, ERP, and BR's) to ensure GxP compliance.
Position Responsibilities
Purification of cell culture products per manufacturing batch records in compliance with quality standards, company policies and current regulations. The duties required include, but are not limited to, purification processing using various chromatography, filtration, and viral reduction techniques up through bulk fill of drug product/intermediate.
Perform operations in a cleanroom environment, applying controls to ensure aseptic processing including gowning and cleaning procedures.
Document each task involving manufacturing procedures (i.e. SR's, EPR's and BR's) following GDP at the time of execution.
Ensure all materials/items are issued and accounted for during the execution of a record (i.e. SR, EPR and BR)
Demonstrate and apply understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and how they apply to specific tasks and responsibilities.
Participate and be accountable for room 5S.
Utilize and perform maintenance on equipment per applicable SOP's.
Position Requirements
High school diploma.
Experience in a regulated industry or demonstrated knowledge of downstream or purification unit operations.

Job Summary
We are expanding our MIT Extraction Isolation team with motivated and detail-oriented individuals. The Production Associate - Isolate will support the crystallization, filtration, drying, and packing of mitragynine isolate. This position reports to the Production Lead and operates under established standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency, compliance, and safety in the production process.This is a full-time position working on a DuPont shift schedule (12-hour shifts, both day and night positions). Each shift team will include three associates working together, with one acting as shift lead.
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; immediately report safety concerns.
Operate process equipment including:
Reactors for pH adjustment and crystallization.
Buchner filters and vacuum pumps for solid/liquid separation.
Drying tents and associated equipment for moisture removal.
Weigh, transfer, and package material accurately, following SOPs.
Accurately complete batch production records and equipment logs in compliance with cGMP and GDP standards.
Sanitize production areas, filters, tools, and workspaces per SOPs.
Assist with set-up, monitoring, and shutdown of process equipment.
Collaborate with teammembers to ensure production targets and timelines are met.
Follow all company safety policies, including use of PPE (respirators, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
Comfortable working with acids, bases, solvents, and process equipment under controlled conditions.
Must be able to work both day and night shifts as scheduled.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education a plus.
Prior chemical manufacturing or production experience is preferred, but not required.

This is a full-time position based out of Roxboro, NC.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time (10-13 hours) with frequent kneeling and bending.
Work with heavy fumes, plants, airborne particles and chemicals.
Must be comfortable working with and around heavy machinery.
May experience moderately high noise levels.
