What to Expect: The Production Technician - Field Service is a hybrid role supporting both real-time production troubleshooting and customer field service needs. This individual will also participate in pre-construction meetings, job-site troubleshooting, and system commissioning. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, professional under pressure, and willing to travel on short notice. This is a mid-level role requiring adaptability, professionalism, and calm problem-solving under pressure. What You'll Do: Diagnose and troubleshoot production line issues in real time, including electrical, wiring, mechanical, and test/debug failures. Support production teams by repairing fixtures, resolving process interruptions, and minimizing downtime. Support field service activities, including product installation, commissioning, and issue resolution at customer sites. Participate in pre-construction and coordination meetings to review system layouts, electrical requirements, and installation details. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings to diagnose and resolve issues. Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Project Management teams to ensure technical accuracy and customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps, repair work, and field service reports. Travel as required - sometimes on short notice (less than 24 hours) - to customer sites, primarily within the Northeast region but throughout the country.
