JOB PURPOSE:

The Covington Magnum Ice Cream factory is a 24/7 high paced dynamic work environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Active member of a productionteam (Space Saver, Klondike, Gram) and supports the team culture of the Covington Plant through participation and leadership in LEAN PROCESS- Total Productive Maintenance (TMP).
Production Line set up including auxiliary equipment. Assemble necessary ingredients, clean and sanitize production area, and set and maintain machine to formula specifications.
Responsible for Clean in Place/Clean out of Place (CIP/COP) functions to maintain a sanitary work environment
Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality procedures, including all Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions. Follow established procedures for monitoring product specifications such as product weight, product size, machine output, wrap, code dates, product quality etc. Keep areas clean, organized and dry.
Responsible for the integrity of handling and labeling floor Rework
Monitor equipment for abnormalities, solving minor problems without assistance and eliminating potential threats to production. Communicate effectively with Teammembers, including maintenance personnel regarding recurring problems and needs for repair. Take part in PM's and all AM activities. Follow lubrication programs and maintain lube log.
Oversee all operations at workstations, including personnel assigned to your workstation.
Plays an active role in TPM including, the creation and updating of production documentation, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Will create and maintain TPM standards, the writing of One Point Lessons, and participation in Kaizen events.
Function as needed in various capacities, including moving supplies and discard, filling in for other teammates as necessary and other duties as assigned.

Production team member job in Dyersburg, TN
Responsible for monitoring, operating and troubleshooting the equipment while working efficiently and following all procedures for producing quality products according to customer specifications, as well as following safety, GMP and quality procedures. The machine operator is also required to do complete washouts of the machinery at the end of a production run.
Duties & Responsibilities
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
Understand written and verbal instructions to complete packaging of products. Refer to “Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)”, Machine Priming, Basic Operating Procedures, Machine Operations, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSPO's).
Able to operate various manufacturing equipment in mass/high volume production environment.
Requires the ability to manipulate small parts and gauges.
Ability to use thinking and reasoning skills to solve a problem.
Set up machine at beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.
Perform safety checks throughout shift.
Adjust machine components according to finished product specifications.
Load packaging material into machine throughout shift.
Stop and adjust machine in cases of malfunctions/jams.
Troubleshoot problems during operation.
Inspect and remove defective items or those that do not meet quality standards.
Clean machine, perform preventative maintenance.
Test and evaluate products to verify correct weights, seals, film orientation, leakers, codes, labels etc.
Document activities performed throughout the shift - pre-op inspections, quality checks, maintenance performed, maintenance needed, etc.
Communicate performance information to other shifts.
Clear lines at the end of the shift.
Take all required training including washout training for sanitary washouts.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Comply with all company safety and environmental policies and procedures as well as complying with all OSHA, EPA and other regulatory rules and regulations (THINK “SAFETY FIRST”).
Ability to recognize unsafe acts and conditions in the facility and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Ability to fully complete appropriate paperwork related to specific job functions in addition to quality and safety/training.
Ability to recognize and report all incidents; even those that do not warrant treatment.
Review and execute our Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement in order to provide value to each of our customers with safe, relevant, tasty food products; while never comprising quality.

We are looking for an Onsite Machine Operator to add value to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform all the duties of the rod loader.
Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures, and amounts, dimensions, and flow of materials or ingredients.
Press control buttons to activate machinery and equipment.
Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as templates, micrometers, or scales.
Monitor machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
Clear jams and remove defective or substandard materials or products.
Notify supervisors when extruded filaments fail to meet standards.
Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, and quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced.
Review work orders, specifications, or instructions to determine materials, ingredients, procedures, components, settings, and adjustments for extruding, forming, pressing, or compacting machines.
Clean dies, arbors, compression chambers, and molds, using swabs, sponges, or air hoses.
Synchronize speeds of sections of machines when producing products involving several steps or processes.
Select and install machine components such as dies, molds, and cutters, according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices.
Move materials, supplies, components, and finished products between storage and work areas, using work aids such as racks, hoists, and hand trucks.
Responsible for new teammember training as instructed by supervisor.
Provide additional assistance to the SSW Management Team as requested.
Learn other position such as Rod Loader/Scale Operator/Material Handler.
Position Supervised or Directed:
Responsible position requiring much self-supervision.
Under the direct supervision of Cell Lead Person and the Plant Floor Supervisor.
Subject to corrective measures given by Quality Control Staff.
Work activities in the workplace will be observed from time to time by members of top management.
Qualifications, Experience requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Six months or more of experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
General requirements:
Availability to go to the division from Monday to Friday.
