Position Summary: The Production Technician 2: PVA works with materials to create a finished product for commercial or industrial use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follow checklist for production start-up including: preparing machine for production, ensuring line is ready for production, turning on production equipment including but not limited to: compressor, vacuum, Mattpak, etc. Input work orders into appropriate printers to ensure accurate product marking. Affix product label rolls onto labeling machine. Initiate and monitor the operation of the automated bagging machine. Generate pallet tickets and record pallet information clearly and accurately. Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure product meets Satellite standards and identify and report any quality defects promptly. Count materials and report inventory discrepancies. Understanding work orders and bill of materials and ability to review and sign off on materials as required. Count and stack boxed product(s) in a neat and thorough manner. Move, stack, wrap, and replace pallets on robot. Bag packets into bags utilizing appropriate equipment/machinery. Perform accurate hand-counting of packets. Complete housekeeping duties regularly, following standard operating procedures and operational needs including but not limited to: sweeping, squeegeeing floors, cleaning process equipment, etc. Report waste and scrap materials in an accurate and timely manner. Verify that all materials match the specifications outlined in work orders. Labeling containers to meet customer specifications and federal regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory role. Education and Experience Requirements: This position prefers a high school diploma/GED. 3+ years of chemical production experience or the equivalent of training and experience. 3+ years manufacturing equipment operation experience.     Port-Production Operator Trainee Huntsman is seeking a Port-Production Operator Trainee supporting the Polyurethanes Division located at our Houston Port TEROL site in Houston, Texas. This position will report to the Production Manager, Brian Shepard. Job Scope The Port-Production Operator Trainee will train under a qualified operator to learn and perform all operational tasks required for progression to Operator C within the Houston Port TEROL operation. This role supports safe, efficient, and compliant production activities through adherence to all Operational and EH&S policies, procedures, and practices. In summary, as the Port-Production Operator Trainee, you will: Perform essential Operator C duties in outside operations, including operating, starting up, and shutting down process equipment to produce quality, on-spec products. Conduct routine unit rounds, adjust equipment as needed, and collect product samples for laboratory analysis. Review lab results and adjust operating conditions based on findings. Monitor the safe handling, identification, storage, and removal of waste streams. Complete all assigned training and participate in site safety and environmental programs. Our Production Finishing Specialist is primarily responsible for operating various machines and equipment to finish products that have been printed so they can be delivered. WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU: Read work orders to determine instructions and specifications for finishing of projects. The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines Operate finishing machine devices, such as cutters, folders, collators/stitchers, and other production finishing machines as available in the center to facilitate the final assembly of finished products. Maintain records, such as daily production records, using specified forms. Follow all quality control procedures as instructed by the owner or manager of the center. Any other essential functions/duties that are needed to provide the highest quality customer service and product output. Position overview: The Maintenance Mechanic (Production Tech) must possess the desire and ability to manage, maintenance and repair automated production machines or equipment that performs one or more functions in the making of aluminum cans. The Maintenance Mechanic (Production Tech) works closely with an entire team, Team Coordinator, and the Team Leader. Duties And Responsibilities: The Maintenance Mechanic (Production Tech) responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Maintains and observes operation of machines and equipment to insure the production of high quality cans. Inspects cans according to customer specifications. If specifications are not met, makes the necessary adjustment to insure the correct can's specifications. Replenishes inks, oils, chemicals, fluids, or other supplies according to the requirements of each machine or equipment. If the machine jams, stops machine and makes adjustments as necessary: clearing away damaged or jammed cans, etc. If malfunctions of the machine are detected, stops machine and makes adjustments or repairs as necessary (see next paragraph). Duties include operating forklift for materials handling. May include loading/unloading trucks or rail cars, warehousing, and staging materials. Responsible for the mechanical performance of line and standard production output. Diagnoses or troubleshoots machines or equipment to determine malfunction and the need for adjustment or repair. Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance required for production such as: repairs or replaces defective parts, installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, moves, sets-up and operates all types of machinery, equipment and machine tools, and perform any dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for plant maintenance. Reads blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. May operate manual machine shop equipment and work with close tolerances. May repair electronic or electrical equipment: performing a variety of general electronic or electrical maintenance, repair and installation work. May install, repair, construct, adjust, overhaul, calibrate and service all types of electronic and electrical equipment. Responsible for all required paperwork of area or machine assigned examples: Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, logbook entries, and maintenance checklist for the body-makers; or bills of lading, inventory sheets, and warehouse tags for the warehouse area. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Other duties as assigned by the team or management. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support. Must be experienced in maintenance and repair of production machines and equipment. Must be highly skilled in troubleshooting and repairing machine malfunctions. Must have significant experience in operating production machines. Related work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may be substituted for the required work experience. Preferred Requirements Three (3) plus years of experience as maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment. Competencies Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of team members or to customers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The shifts are rotating with four (4) days on and four (4) off with the shift starting at 7:00 and ending at 7:00 (12 hours).Rotates from days to nights every two (2) cycles and vice versa. The plant is hot when the weather is hot and cold when the weather is cold. Will be assigned to different areas of the plant throughout a team member's work career. Must be willing to work all areas of production and on any shift. While performing duties, the team member regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The team member frequently works in high, precarious places and may frequently be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The team member may occasionally be exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level is loud in the work environment.
