Main Purpose:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various machines and equipment. this position is located in Houston, Texas at our Englobal shop.
Essential Functions:
Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures
Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
Feed information akin to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box
Place parts in semi-automated machines
Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift
Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
Perform random tests to ensure accuracy
Perform safety checks on every machine
Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output
Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times
Create and maintain activity logs
Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for tying or assisting with tying material onto racks with wire or chain for safe movement through the galvanizing process.
Use wire to tie material to bow racks, universal racks, or other tooling to prepare for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for the galvanizing process.
Use rope to lift and prepare material for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for galvanizing process.
Operates and visually inspects all equipment (i.e. forklifts, cranes, tooling, etc.) prior to usage to ensure no maintenance is needed.
Learns to rack a variety of materials by assisting others.
Racks, unracks or cleans material in order as directed.
May learn to use a torch to dry materials before hot dipping.
May clean material using a grinder, file, or brush as specified by the customer.
Inspects material for sags, runs, drips, bare spots and reports it to management.
Uses bolt cutters to remove wire from product and tooling and disposes of it per established procedures.
Learns to inspect materials for holes, smothered spots, etc.
Perform housekeeping activities to keep production area and equipment clean and organized.

The ability to read and understand electrical drawings and diagrams of avionics systems, assemblies, and wiring layouts.
Ability to assemble prototype and test boxes with minimalistic drawings.
Familiarity with standard lab test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition boxes, etc.).
Must be able to interact with all engineering disciplines and technical management in a professional team-oriented environment.
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.

Your Role at KIK
Join our team as an experienced Machine Operator managing production equipment including fillers, case packers, capers, case sealers, palletizers and labelers. Essential Responsibilities
Must be able to work from detail part drawings, work orders, set ups, tooling, process and operation instruction sheets, and digital program.
Set up and operate 2-axis lathes and operate 4-axis lathes on a wide range of products, receiving assistance from programmer or supervisor if needed.
Review parts program file and select set tools in tool holder, turret, or cross slide location.
Operate control console to enter program data, back off tool offsets, and check out with dry run. Edit the program as required.
Unload bar stock from delivery truck with overhead crane and place in intermediate storage area.
Load part, sequence each tool, enter offset adjustment data, and continue trails (as required) to produce piece meeting drawing specifications.
Inspect parts periodically in accordance with established frequency, for conformance to quality and engineering specifications, making offsets (as required) to compensate for tool wear.
Indicate work to detect and eliminate run out.
Tolerances are very strict and involve a demand for squareness, concentricity, and parallelism.
Detect and report faulty operations, defective material, and equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions to the proper supervisor.
Maintain workplace in neat and orderly condition.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for metal fabrication using manufacturing processes such as shearing, stamping, punching, bending, slitting, grinding, manual operations, etc. Tasks include operation and control of power &brake presses and auxiliary equipment in compliance with HMT requirements. Job performance must aid attaining TDC key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Role Responsibilities:
Produce parts made from plastics, stainless and carbon steel, aluminum and other materials by operating power & break presses for punching, cutting, forming, bending, slitting, etc. ensuring compliance with requirements.
Setup and operate machinery according to work order, safety and performance procedures and expectations.
Install workpiece stoppers, guides and any other auxiliary equipment required; control material flow IN/OUT.
Carry out production ensuring that established features to the form, fit and function of the product are achieved during stamping process.
Perform setup/ change-over applying the single minute exchange die (SMED) procedure.
Monitor work piece quality on each operation by submitting 1st piece and the subsequent 100th pieces for inspection in compliance with TDC inspection-testing procedures.
Operate machinery to the full capacity and report any issue that can result in machine sub-utilization.
Maintain WIP & finished product identified regarding inspection status & traceability by placing TAGs/labels on pallets and crates indicating purchase order, part number, work order, date, quantity, etc.
Fill paperwork timely by adding production output data to the routers, stating time, dates, quantities, approvers etc.; make sure info is accurate, clear and complete.
Identify and segregate any nonconforming product and notify supervisor for determining further actions.
Carry out daily preventive maintenance and inspection to machinery, tooling and auxiliary equipment, including
trucks following the customized check lists; report any item noticed out of compliance from OSHA and company regulations.
Dispose scrap, broken pallets, lubricants and other chemicals timely, using allotted containers/dumpsters as indicated by HMT procedures.
Sort, set in order and clean tools, shadow boards, machinery, floors, cabinets, transportation carts, etc. in compliance with 5S program and the weekly tasks schedule.
Other tasks as required by HMT management.
Qualifications Required:
High school or vocational training, preferable.
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferably sheet metal fabrication.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawing.

The scope of this role is to ensure the efficient and accurate filing of products into containers, adhering to specific volume and weight requirements, and maintain the highest standards of quality and filler operator works with the packaging end of a production line. The filler operator also operates filling machines and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure consistency. This is a 3 rd shift position, 10pm-6:30am Monday-Friday and overtime on Saturdays as required. The pay is $17.5/hr.

Role Summary/Purpose
Plan and perform the set up and operation of an assigned CNC numerical controlled lathe to machine component parts in process of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy metals. Work involves the assignment to either the NC/CNC Lathes, proving out computer programs in collaboration with Programmer, and following prescribed program, tooling, set up and offset specifications.
Essential Responsibilities
Must be able to work from detail part drawings, work orders, set ups, tooling, process and operation instruction sheets, and digital program.
Set up and operate 2-axis lathes and operate 4-axis lathes on a wide range of products, receiving assistance from programmer or supervisor if needed.
Review parts program file and select set tools in tool holder, turret, or cross slide location.
Operate control console to enter program data, back off tool offsets, and check out with dry run. Edit the program as required.
Unload bar stock from delivery truck with overhead crane and place in intermediate storage area.
Load part, sequence each tool, enter offset adjustment data, and continue trails (as required) to produce piece meeting drawing specifications.
Inspect parts periodically in accordance with established frequency, for conformance to quality and engineering specifications, making offsets (as required) to compensate for tool wear.
Indicate work to detect and eliminate run out.
Tolerances are very strict and involve a demand for squareness, concentricity, and parallelism.
Detect and report faulty operations, defective material, and equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions to the proper supervisor.
Maintain workplace in neat and orderly condition.

Some of your Responsibilities include:
Retrieves and transports bare coils and maintains flow of metal to lines by safely operating cranes, fork lifts, and upenders without damaging material or equipment.
Trims, packages and bands finished coils according to customer specifications using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping materials.
Inspects coils and identifies and reports defects.
Reads and interprets production schedules.
Accurately identifies proper skid and package specified on schedules.
Reads and accurately records coil weights, order numbers, etc.
Loads or unloads received or shipped coils onto or off of trucks.
Qualifications
As the selected candidate, you will need a high school level reading and writing, visual acuity to read labels, meters, gauges, documents and instructions, in addition to the following:
Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, work rules, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with all members of team.
Ability to safely operate small manual and electric hand tools.
Available to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, that could include weekends and holidays.
