Shared Risk We recognize that continuously evolving and innovating is essential to ITW's ability to remain a strong, successful, and growing company, and that failures and mistakes are an essential part of the process. We believe that if we are not making mistakes, we are not striving hard enough to improve and develop as individuals or as a company. Once we decide on a course of action, we all take ownership and share the responsibility for the outcome, good or bad. We share our successes and take responsibility for our mistakes and challenges as a team. We focus on “solving the problem,” not “pointing the finger”.
