POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the grinding or roasting of products as directed by the production shift supervisors or leads and for the staging of ground product for packaging. May coordinate with multiple members of the team to include, but not limited to, Greens Loader, Roasting and / or Flavoring to ensure a smooth flow of production. Performs duties in ways that maximize production efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Operates roasting or grinding machines, product elevators, coolers and / or other devices for production.
Makes machine adjustments and may service equipment in roasting area as well as ensure maintenance team is informed of all needs.
Maintains an accurate inventory through use of a computerized inventory system.
Incorporates rework at established quality specifications as required.
Responsible for general housekeeping around the roasting or grinding areas.
Upholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products, and superior services that anticipate, meet, or exceed the requirements of our customers.
Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
Performs any other duties/tasks that may be assigned to him/her on an as needed basis.
SKILL SET/ EXPERIENCE:
Understands how to read package quality specifications (die-lines, temperatures, measurements, bag height etc.)
Basic experience with hand tools.
Working knowledge of computer basics and experience with data entry.
Manufacturing experience desired.
Observes physical changeover of product on the machine.
Has ability to trouble shoot minor problems on packaging machines.
Has a novice understanding of centerline machine settings adjustments (time, pressure, temperature).
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Basic ability to read, write, calculate simple math, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
High degree of organizational skills required to maintain uninterrupted machine operation.
Good analytical skills needed to plan and implement various machine operation functions.

WORK ENVIROMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
Operational knowledge of green coffee concepts, grinders, roasters, coolers, color analysis machine, product routing equipment and metric tooling is desired.

Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when transferring products from one building to another.
