Working under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Associate/Research Associate II performs routine and increasingly complex laboratory tasks and procedures and develops technical expertise in one or more areas relevant to research projects. The Research Associate II will participate in research activities involving all aspects of the research process, to include, but not limited to; investigation, technical, testing/validation of results, and report findings. The Associate will perform a variety of routine experimental protocols and procedures to support the objectives of laboratory research projects. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting routine manufacturing of biologic products including media preparation, cell culture, cell counting, formulation, centrifugation and freezing Independently completing required documentation and guiding other operators on proper cGMP recording of entries and comments on batch records, forms and protocols
Performs a variety of increasingly complex experimental protocols and procedures and assist in the design of new complex or unusual protocols and techniques.
Keeps accurate and detailed records of experiments and results, and assist in identifying and troubleshooting of unexpected results.
Preparing technical summaries, protocols and reports
Orders laboratory supplies and supports laboratory operations.
Maintains lab equipment and related records and may coordinate use of lab equipment.
Assists in the operation of specialized equipment, as required by the area of research.
Assists in preparation of data for publication and/or presentation at scholarly meetings.
Observes and complies with safety standards and procedures.
Orients research laboratory assistants or lower level research associates and undergraduate student researchers on day-to-day lab operations and routine procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences or related field
Two (2) years of laboratory experience.
1-3 years of experience in cGMP/cGTP manufacturing environment in academic/industry setting.
Individuals with a scientific background, mammalian cell culture and cGMP experience needed.
Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements (cGMP/cGTP) in the biopharmaceutical, blood and/or tissue banking industry.
Understanding of general research objectives.
Familiar with routine laboratory procedures, experimental protocols, and overall lab organization.
Applicant must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Must have superior interpersonal, communication and organization skills and the ability to work across company disciplines and functional units, and computer application experience.
Must possess computer skills to include, but not limited to, Excel and Word.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple clerical trials, and attention to details.

The Foodware Technician performs the daily activities required to produce straws, cutlery, and future Foodware items.
This position will transfer product between process steps, tend production equipment, pack product in to sell units and load these sell units in to shipping cartons. Material handling responsibilities will be the movement of packaging material from storage to workstation, monitoring raw material at each process step and movement of finished goods from workstation to storage. At times, loading of product into trailer will be required.
Conduct inline QA checks and process documentation will be required at each different process step.

Monitor the machine process and report any problems to Shift Leads.

Complete daily safety checks.
Complete daily preventative maintenance tasks.
Monitor and document process parameters (downtime, scrap, machine conditions).

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Thrift Store Manager, the Thrift Store Production Worker is responsible for assisting the production crew in cleaning, prep, and tagging merchandise such as clothing, books, electronics, shoes, accessories, household items, etc.

THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Cleans, tags, and packs merchandise for pricing.
Determines which items are perishable and which are recyclable and discards unsellable items.
Assists other departments/positions, as needed.
Sets the pace for sorting.
Records production numbers daily. (i.e., carts, units, etc.)
Communicates regularly with management about store issues.
Actively engages customers on floor sales to increase donations and merchandise sales.
Ensures monthly revenue goals are met.
Provides excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and donors; and responds to customer inquiries/complaints in a timely manner.
Ensures store and displays are maintained, clean, and attractive.
Maintains safety including all Health and Security policies and procedures.
Conducts tasks and other projects as assigned by the Thrift Store Manager/Supervisor.

THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Requires regular standing, walking, sitting, crouching, stooping, speaking, hearing and seeing.
Requires manual dexterity for regular repetitive finger motion such as frequent reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting objects and operating equipment.
Requires manual ability to operate a pallet jack.
May be exposed to handling hazardous materials such as broken glass.

May be exposed to extreme temperatures both hot and cold (variable weather).
Requirements
THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION/LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Thrift store, retail store, warehouse, assembly line or restaurant experience, a plus.
THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES:
Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written, a plus.
Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Perform in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills.
Ability to determine the value of donations.
Must exhibit strong customer service skills.
Clear communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent time management skills and detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
Must be an effective team member.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Salary Description $17.28 - $19.40 (depending on experience)
