Salary: $22.50 - $24.90 per hour (plus 2nd shift premium of 1.50 hourly and 3rd shift premium 3.00 hourly)

As a Mechanically Trained Operator, you'll operate and monitor high-speed equipment, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and support preventive & predictive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient production flow.
What You'll Do
Operate and Monitor Equipment:
Operate high-speed packaging and production equipment, ensuring production targets are met.

**This role in summary**
This position will operate and support specific automated equipment related to an assigned area. Each area has machines with industrial computers for monitoring faults, troubleshooting, and overall process operation. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Production Technician I is a post-entry level position, having met all requirements either through possessing equivalent experience or having acquired applicable training while onsite. This position will collaborate with various teams in Shared Services to fulfill repair and assembly responsibilities; this position will also be required expand on training to include technical processes pertaining to testing, troubleshooting, and level 1 staging functions within the assigned workgroups. Reporting to the Production & Repair Coordinator or other senior designee within Shared Services, the Production Technician I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
Role and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a consistent and positive attendance pattern.
• Assist all repair, test, & Level 1 staging functions within configuration and deployment work groups.
• Adhere to established procedures to test, repair, and assemble equipment within various workgroups.
• Perform pass/fail diagnostic testing, cleaning, refurbishment, and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electronic equipment including, but not limited to, printers, scanners, monitors/displays, LCD's, keyboards, PC's, servers, point of sale systems and peripherals, and service parts, using Spencer's approved procedures and documentation.
• Perform mechanical repair functions of equipment with moderate guidance from higher-level Production Technicians or other senior designees.
• Performs assembly/disassembly of POS hardware equipment using Spencer Technologies proprietary work instructions and customer specifications with moderate guidance from higher-level Production Technicians or other senior designees.
• Perform level 1 troubleshooting functions on equipment staged & processed within the configuration and deployment work groups with moderate guidance from higher-level Production Technicians or other senior designees.
• Assist & support Shared Services teams including, but not limited to, the assembly and/or disassembly of registers in Deployment.
• Assist in maintaining Spencer's quality control procedures and standards through adherence to and practice of approved procedures and standards.
• Maintain accurate transactions and detailed data entry and record keeping for all work being processed.
• Performing Production support duties such as building test beds.
• Ability to research and obtain necessary equipment specifications, test procedures, and diagnostic information, and any/all required documents and guides needed for processing.
• Assist other team members to accomplish other related tasks.
• Assist in new product/process evaluation/introduction as directed.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• Utilize MS Office applications to communicate, follow up, and file correspondence. Products may include, but are not limited to, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Assist with training and support of lower-level Production Operators in designated workgroups as needed or directed.
• Ability to navigate and use Spencer Technologies ERP (Squire) with moderate assistance.
• Adhere to all of Spencer Technologies policies and procedures as required, including PCI, ESD, and Safety.
• Support all production departments in required activities, including but not limited to, tagging and bagging completed material, pre-clean and final clean of tested good material, and cleaning and organization of the shop floor.
• Willingly performs all other duties as assigned and consistent with this level.
Qualifications:
•Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to keep accurate records on paper and electronically.
• Able to work independently, with moderate direct supervision.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Must have mechanical dexterity.
• Must be flexible with working hours including Saturdays and evenings.
