This role in summary
This position will operate and support specific automated equipment related to an assigned area. Each area has machines with industrial computers for monitoring faults, troubleshooting, and overall process operation. The Production Technician will be responsible for keeping the flow of the equipment moving. This includes reacting to faults and jam ups that cause production stoppages and inspections/gaging. Skilled Machine Operators are responsible in the production process of making high quality cookware. In this seat you'll set up and operate auto feeders (buffers and draw presses), rotary and single head sanders, hydraulic presses, hilite sunray machines and brazers. You'll also quick-change draw presses, impact presses and machines which apply satin or edge finish to a variety of parts and also polishes oil cores.

**This role in summary**
This position will operate and support specific automated equipment related to an assigned area. Each area has machines with industrial computers for monitoring faults, troubleshooting, and overall process operation. + Identify and escalate safety, quality and nonstandard process related issues.
+ Technician will work closely with AST support personnel by highlighting any repeat issues or concerns.

Salary: $20.13/hour (plus $3.50/hour 3rd shift premium)
Job Type: Full Time
Entry Level Machine Operators are responsible for the final production processes in the making of high-quality cookware. In this seat you'll assemble, test (including thermoplugs), rivet, wrap, and pack a variety of cookware.
You will love this seat if you get, want, and have the capacity to:
Loads and/or unloads parts to be cleaned and inspects for defects.
Operates machines such as small air or electric driven hand tools used for assembly.
Also includes wrapping, bagging, forming, and packing of products into cartons and accessories, and loading cartons on pallets.
Checks products for flaws, scratches, proper finish, and other defects.
Moves material to and from the work area.
Keeps a clean and safe work area.

Demonstrate the flexibility to carry out multiple tasks contributing toward the delivery of products to customer specifications.
Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy with assembly and process skills required to build product in a repetitive environment.
Able to accurately complete and follow detailed instructions and procedures, identify, and select components, complete paperwork, troubleshoot & diagnose products, properly package by customer requirements and label manufactured products.
Responsible for dependable attendance, punctual habits and maintaining clean and organized work areas.
Able to interface professionally with internal and external customers.
Follow the guidelines of Dedicated Computing Quality System.
Technological Advancement:

Ability to work up to 10-hour shifts if overtime is ever needed. We will try to avoid working weekends but there may be times when working Saturdays could be required.
Experience in a computer-related field or a combination of training and education in a technical capacity, including building computers as a hobby. Knowledge of operating systems, computer hardware or related technology.
Preferred:
CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent work experience)
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Familiarity with industry best practices
