Position Summary:
Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.
Our normal production schedule is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday and work indoors. Occasional overtime may be required during our highest production times. Weekly pay is made up of an hourly rate based on skill and an attractive incentive program after a probationary period .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
Keeps area neat and clean.
Read and use a tape measure
Read blueprints and orders
Communicate well with coworkers
Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
Qualifications:
Must have a strong work ethic
Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
Must understand safety procedures
Must have good teamwork skills
Must live the Champion Operating Principles
Education and/or Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing desired.

Department Floater is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. This job requires the employee to be able to learn and perform several jobs in debone this includes re-hanging, thigh Removal, Shoulder Cuts, Wings. Able to lift up to 50lbs. Will be learning scanners and leads paperwork. While performing the duties of department floater, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and /or humid conditions as well as cold slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced environment. Positions require standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in all areas of the facility.

What do Production Workers do at Pratt Industries?
Our Production Workers help with all aspects of turning recycled paper into sheets of paper and board and getting them to our customers! Think boxes for Domino's pizzas, moving with Home Depot, Amazon deliveries, paper bags, and more! (And yes, we make those!) Responsibilities include:
- Performing a variety of tasks in the assigned department. Possible to be in multiple areas of the plant during the week working on varied projects and customer orders.
- Housekeeping and cleaning of work areas - keep clean and free of tripping hazards during shift and end of shift cleaning of the area. In addition, good housekeeping of areas employee utilizes; break rooms, bathrooms, refrigerators etc.
- Learn and understand from the Paper Converting Machine Operators capability and capacity of machines and assist with driving efficiencies limiting waste and downtime. Do not sacrifice quality for machine speeds - must have both excellent quality and high efficiencies with minimal downtime.
