What You'll Get to Do The Machine Operator is focused on operating various types of equipment to prepare glass for the next department and/or the end user customer. This could be operating cutting equipment, grinding/polishing, CNC and/or a tempering furnace and reports to the Production Supervisor. Position Responsibilities: * Moves parts from machine shop to anodizing area and moves finished goods to assembly. * Rack parts to rack splines assuring a good contact and racking technique. * Counts and verifies proper part count. * Marks and labels material with appropriate labels * Unloads and inspects parts from rack after completion of the finishing process. * Inspect and sort material that must be scrapped or reworked, under supervison. * Assist with 5S activities and General housekeeping of the department. * Assist in adjusting rack fixtures and assist the Line operator in everyday production. * Able to do basic Operator functions and help the production if the operator is unavailable at a time. * Train new rackers and work to grow Team collaboration within the team * Keep track of day-to-day production WIP inventory levels and alert supervisor to bring in more inventory. We are seeking motivated individuals to perform a variety of tasks in any number of areas in the operation including receiving, freezer, sanitation, deboning (by machine), and storage; by performing the following tasks: Perform routine tasks involved in producing, assembling, inspecting, testing, or shipping a product Load raw material into machinery that may grind, emulsify, mechanically debone, mix/blend and/or plate freeze product. Weight, prepare, and attach barcode label to each incoming pallet prior to placing material in freezer storage or per other procedure as determined by Plant Manager. Deliver labels and related incoming documents to office. Ability to learn and operate the automated palletizer machine or manual palletizing process. Process may include: Properly placing pallets in place to feed machine Enter commands to start machine, watch and follow sequences and monitors for malfunctions, errors and obstructions that may interfere with proper operation. Correct machine settings using preprogrammed settings, or correcting obstructions and sensor activity. Prepare proper production forms or reports noting weight of product using NEMO -computerized inventory system Changes wrap film, removes waste from conveyors, checks pallet quality and loads pallet stacking station. Controls weights and traceability of product, bags pallet with correct liners, supplies slip sheets and fills liquid containers with charcoal or red dye. Checks and controls label information and operates traceability system. Remove cardboard from frozen product using box cutter or other tool Sort pallets and discard broken pallets and other pallets not conforming to company guidelines.
