Key Responsibilities: * During the mobilization process, the laborer will assist in offloading the dredge, the slurry pipe, dewatering equipment, and any other support equipment necessary for the mobilization of the job. * Assist in setting the dredge into the water, cabling and assembling the machine, and fusing or bolting together the pipeline. * Assist in setting up the dewatering equipment and/or Geo-tube placement, depending on the configuration of the job site and dewatering process. * Assist in the dredging operations which include moving the dredge, checking and adding polymer as needed to the chemical injection system, taking periodic samples of the slurry, assisting in fueling, greasing, and checking all of the mechanical equipment, working the geotubes to make sure that they are dewatering properly, and any other job site tasks that are requested. * Assist the dredge operator in cleaning the cutter head, bunkering fuel, and preventive or corrective maintenance to the dredge.
