Job Summary:
This role has responsibility to assist in achieving productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety and employee engagement objectives through both individual and team contributions. This is a developmental role that provides direction, leadership, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement projects and initiatives. Develops, implements and promotes safety programs and safe work practices through involvement in plant safety teams, programs and initiatives. Promotes sound employee & labor relations within the department by developing and maintaining effective organization with qualified personnel. Develops, promotes, and supports continuous improvement and other cross-functional initiatives. Will work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Spend approximately 90-95% of time on the production floor actively training, educating, and developing team members and improving processes.
Lead and supervise hourly employees, ensuring they are properly trained and consistently adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Communicate and enforce safety guidelines to ensure a compliant and secure work environment.
Analyze, develop, and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and overall product quality.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through adjustments in working conditions or equipment utilization.
Investigate and resolve work-related issues while providing guidance and support to employees in problem-solving.
Partner with Line Leads and operators to inspect materials, equipment, and machinery, ensuring all production needs are met efficiently.
Collaborate with management and cross-functional departments to communicate updates on production efficiency, machinery status, and workforce needs.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety protocols and company safety policies at all times.
Assign daily work tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when needed.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and open communication.
Oversee the efficient and timely completion of production and operational goals in alignment with company standards.
Troubleshoot operational challenges, resolve conflicts, and escalate significant concerns to the Unit Manager as appropriate.
Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
Maintain and monitor product quality to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
Prepare and submit shift reports, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous process improvement.
Support onboarding and ongoing training initiatives for new and existing employees.
Promote continuous improvement by encouraging participation in professional development and skill-building opportunities.
Schedule and manage labor resources effectively to support operational throughput and production goals.
Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of production processes and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Requirements / Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience in a USDA- or FDA-regulated food processing facility required; experience with Raw and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) products preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and process accuracy.
Bilingual English Spanish a must.

The employee will be required to frequently communicate with both internal staff members as well as external parties or customers and must be able to convey accurate information. This position may require repositioning of or movement of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Purpose Statement

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Housekeeping of machine area.
* Verify bulk quantity and accuracy prior to start.
* Make bags in accordance with customer requirements at fastest speed and best quality.
* Bag label/Case label QC .
* Daily feedback to Production Supervisor on Packers and any other issues.
* Operators responsible for upkeep and maintenance of their own machines. MACHINES TURNED OFF WHEN NOT IN USE.
* Bulk pallets are moved behind the production line back to inventory once complete.
* Ensure only current production run's case labels are present. All other labels are removed from the area.
ACTIVITES:
Adhere to your assigned production line to avoid cross contamination of product.
Completes logs Run Start Log and Machine Pre-op Checklist daily.
Use OS to know the day's plan.
Verify bulk product staged is enough before starting the machine.
Make sure the machine area is clean all the time and tools are stored properly.
Make sure bag labels are corrected and straight.
Send picture of bag label to "Model Bag" text group.
Make sure case labels are applies immediately and have correct information.
Before end of shift make all cases are sealed and labeled.
Make sure the machine and area is clean at the end of shift.
If run is complete place white cone on bulk pallet so inventory associate can return to inventory.
If run is not complete leave bulk pallet in place.
Submit completed Run Start Log and Machine Pre-Op checklist to the QA Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Will be required to perform tasks such as lifting up to 55 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing as part of production activities out on the floor.
Will be required to see and hear well enough to understand Associates questions and respond to their concerns.
Will be required to work in freezers, near noisy machinery, near confined spaces as part of daily production activities.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
Follow all GMP's, food safety, and quality policies.
Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen, or magnet deficiencies, glass breakage, and pest harborage.
Monitor product quality and food safety throughout all stages of production, recording such results as required, and reporting deficiencies to Supervision.
Record accurate and legible results on documentation
Provide adequate housekeeping at all times.

Summary:

This is a temporary entry level non-exempt position. Under the direction of the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) or the Assistant Distribution Manager (ADM), performs administrative tasks for the daily distribution center operations and can assist with the manual labor aspects of the operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in all the daily operations at a Distribution Center.
Performs administrative duties associated with the operations.
Performs administrative tasks associated with Delivery Service Provider Contracts.
Retrieves emails, prints and reviews paperwork, and distributes as needed.
Communicates with subscribers as they call in with complaints or concerns and informs DSP's of customer complaints on their respective routes.
Efficient in the use of SAP, Word, and Excel.
Operates all office equipment including fax, copier, and computer equipment.
Assists in maintaining a daily record of: contracted routes serviced, dispatch times for trucks, system problems, and answers to customer complaints.
Occasionally, in the manager's absence, prepares weekly route settlement to insure accurate compensation to DSP's for services rendered.
May assist in unloading newspapers from delivery trucks, and verifying receipt of proper amounts of all newspapers.
Assists with distributing required amount of copies to DSP's.
All other warehouse and housekeeping work as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
