The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery efficiently, ensuring the continuous production of high-quality products. This role is essential to our operations, and the ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. We are primarily hiring for second shift. Current shifts are first (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and second (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM). Shifts could be 10-12 hours with overtime available.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate machinery and equipment according to the operating manual and training guidelines.
Monitor machines to ensure stability and continuously check for any signs of malfunction or irregularities.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
Quickly address and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and inform the maintenance team for more complex problems.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to comply with safety regulations.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment.
Record and report production data accurately, including machine performance and product quality.
Assist in adjusting machine settings for different production batches.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve efficiency, quality, and overall production flow.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and stay updated with machine operations.
Cross train in production to fill in gaps.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong understanding of machine mechanics and the operational process
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods of time
Previous work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:
Technical certification or training in machine operation or related field is a plus.
One year or more of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge/ Skills:
Attention to detail
Verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills

Position Overview
Racking and Unracking Parts:
Reading work orders to determine how to place or hang metal parts on racks or hooks to prepare them for various finishing processes, such as plating, anodizing, powder coat or wet paint.
Racking items strategically to maximize coating coverage and minimize waste.
Distributing items evenly on the rack to maintain stability during transport and coating.
Unracking parts after processing.
Masking Preparation & Application:
Material Selection: Using appropriate masking materials (such as tape, plugs, or latex) based on the customer work order, the part's geometry and surface requirements.
Surface Cleaning: Ensure the part's surface is clean and free from contaminants before applying masking materials.
Precise Masking Application: Apply masking materials precisely to cover specific areas (e.g., threads, critical surfaces) that should remain untouched during subsequent processes (e.g., painting, anodizing).
Efficiency and Productivity:
Keeping up in a fast-paced environment by ensuring that the painters & powder coaters have parts racked and ready for processing continuously without delay.
Prioritizing items based on production schedules and deadlines.
Filling racks efficiently without compromising coating quality.
Quality Control:
Inspect parts before and after the finishing process to ensure they meet quality standards and reporting any defects or non-conformances to supervisors.
Packaging:
Package completed parts by following customer specifications, prints and guidelines to ensure proper packing of parts.
Job Monitoring:
Utilize computer system to track job progress and scan in and out of jobs.
Collaboration:
Team Communication: Coordinate with painters, anodize operators, or other production team members to ensure smooth workflow during subsequent processes.
Feedback Loop: Provide feedback on racking challenges or improvements to enhance efficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, safety glasses) to protect against chemicals and sharp edges.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Our Production Associates work together in a team environment in our healthcare laundry plant.
PAY: $17.00-18.50/hour
1st Shift:5:00am -1:30 pm
2nd Shift: 1:30pm- 10:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort soiled linen and garments by product type
Prepare and load clean products for delivery according to route needs
Launder medical, hospitality, and food and beverage garments and linens
Maintain clean and orderly workspace throughout each shift
Handle and package all items consistent with the company's infection prevention best practices
Inspect linens and package product per company quality and efficiency standards prior to finishing
Operate all equipment, perform work, and decontaminate work area according to OSHA standards
Assure Lock-out Tag Out policies are adhered to at all times - shut off all equipment when not in use
Support our Value to Be Safe by completing all required safety training and SOPs.
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to present two valid forms of identification upon hire
Must be able to perform required tasks standing up for the duration of the shift
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required
Flexibility to complete special requests as needed

Your Role: The Machine Operator is a key member of the Elliott Manufacturing Assembly department. Under moderate supervision, you will be responsible for setting up and operating all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment. You will undertake production tasks in accordance with work instructions while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. You will also perform basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems, or arrange for supervisor to have equipment repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Set up, operate, and program various manufacturing machines (methods, tooling, and fixtures to assure proper methodology).
· Read and interpret work Instructions and assembly outlines.
· Review and understand blueprint geometric dimensioning/tolerancing and notes.
· Apply interpretation of blueprint to assembly build. Ensure all print specifications are met.
· Inspect assemblies and document dimensional compliance using micrometers, vernier calipers and other measuring instruments.
· Identify abnormalities and quality defects in assembly build.
· Use standardized guidelines for setups, tooling, fixtures and equipment.
What You Need to Succeed:
· 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing assembly or fabrication position.
· Experience reading blueprints or manufacturing drawings.
· Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and professional development.
What Will Set You A part:
· Ability to analyze, communicate and present information accurately and succinctly.
· Proficiency using electronic spreadsheets, word processing, preferably Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation: $20-$25/hr depending on experience and qualifications

You will spend most of their shift on your feet, operating machinery and doing assembly and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Will have machine shop exposure and may be around weld hazards. Hardware: Assembly and Production Machines, Welders, Induction Heat Treater, PC, Telephone, Printers, Copiers & Measuring devices. Software: Office Suite, Network Operating System as needed.
