**Role Synopsis:** We are seeking a highly-motivated, mechanically inclined Production Operator with a growth mindset who enjoys a dynamic, hands on, field-based work environment. I/E, electrical, and programming experience is a plus. **Key Accountabilities**

The physical demands are frequent: standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements. In addition, there are periodic demands of: operating power equipment, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50lbs.

How much do we pay (Base) $85,000-$100,000. Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

Scope of Responsibility:

Coordinates with co-workers in both the coil area and packaging area to ensure that the proper coil is placed on the uncoiler and that finished product is correctly labeled and packaged.

Start up and shut down equipment using control room panels and terminals,
Notify Central Control of malfunctions or process deviations and take corrective actions,
Document process data, production metrics, and finished product information accurately,
Direct Assistant Operators and General Services crews in production and maintenance tasks,
Use CMMS to enter and track work orders,
Participate in safety meetings and complete required training,
Maintain a clean and safe work environment,
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required,
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment,
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail,
Ability to work independently and in a team environment,
Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, loader),
Physical capability to work in all weather conditions, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb heights,
Ability to follow safety protocols, work instructions, and departmental guidelines,
Familiarity with Lockout-Tagout-Try procedures.,
Competence in troubleshooting process issues and adjusting production processes based on QC lab testing.
Ability to work shift work, including nights/weekends and possible holidays.

Job Description
Teijin Automotive Technologies is seeking Production Operators on all shifts for a fast paced production environment. Position is responsible for Operation of compression molding presses and other equipment for the purpose of producing a quality product for our customers.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Check all equipment for proper operation at shift start and communicates to the relieving shift any deviation of the normal process and any problems that might have occurred.
2. Understand scheduled rate quantities and the importance of obtaining each process rate.
3. Notifies Supervisor as soon as possible of any mechanical, process or quality problems so the proper steps may be taken to facilitate quick response.
4. Inspects as many parts as possible to see that all operations prior to and including their operation have been completed satisfactorily as outlined by the instructions and visual aids.
5. Performs normal housekeeping duties within a reasonable area of the workstation during and prior to end of scheduled shift. Keeps the station neat and reports safety hazards to the Supervisor immediately.
6. Willing and able to work on other operations after completion of training on primary operation (cross training).
7. Obtain knowledge of all process layouts. Operator will be expected to assist in the proper layout of the processes according to the MWI standards.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. General Education.
2. Good assembly skills / dexterity.

4. Team oriented.
5. Able to work at quick pace.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Excellent health and physical condition required. Knowledge of chemicals specific to job-some exposure to fumes. Jobs consist of repetitive motion with good range of motion involving bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and prolonged standing. Physical requirement of lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment required. Must be able to work in close proximity to high temperature molds and materials (290°F/ 450°F). Considerable effort required due to pace of job. Some telephone usage required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Starting Pay $17.36 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shifts.
Wage increase after 90 days of employment.
