The role of the Production Worker is to perform necessary functions in order to efficiently, safely, and correctly pack and palletize finished product in preparation for shipment to customer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
General:
Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
Ensure product conforms to specifications.
Prevent and minimize rework and/or inedible.
May require working on taping machines, shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, trash and recycling compactors.
Perform standard operating procedures of production and inspection functions as directed.
Successfully complete all necessary technical training and skills verification as directed.
Successfully complete all necessary soft skills training as directed.
Return from breaks in a timely manner; notify lead/foreman/supervisor before leaving the department.
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork as directed.
Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.
Works scheduled shift as assigned.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
Immediately report all accidents and deficiencies to the lead/foreman/supervisor.
Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly.
Suggest improvements; continuously improve the quality of all support activities.

Making pallets by stacking boxes onto pallets, preparing the pallet with cardboard wrapping, manually shrink wrapping, and pulling/pushing pallets with manual pallet jack.

The Machine Operator follows standard operating procedures and adheres to safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Hang/Hook: The Hanger is responsible for hanging parts from pallets onto the paint line by grasping parts with one or two hands and hanging onto hooks. The Hook Setter will place hooks on the line, the weight of the hooks is nominal. The Hook Setter and the Hanger roles rotate every hour. Lifting and setting pallets (4x2 and 2x2) will vary and is up to the discretion of the individual.

Box Thrower: The Box Thrower is responsible for taking cardboard boxes from a pallet and placing them onto the conveyor line. The products are then placed into the boxes by the "Take Off" role.
Take Off: The Take Off is responsible for taking parts off of the paint line (hooks) to pack them into boxes or pallets that are to be shipped. The loaded boxes are taped and placed onto pallets. Some products are bulk packed onto pallets and may be wrapped.
Taper: The Taper is responsible for operating the tape machine. This role will grasp the tape from a taper machine and place it on the boxes as they move down into the conveyor.
Bander: The Bander is responsible for grasp the boxed and taped product as they move down the conveyor. This role will handle and stack the products onto a pallet.
Box Puller: The Box Puller is responsible to research, calculate and pull from the inventory all boxes, packaging materials and pallets (4x2 and 7ft) needed to ship products. This role uses work orders to assist in determining type and quantity of boxes needed on various lines. The Box Puller will then manually handle and transport by cart or by hand to respective area. This role is required to review and replenish boxes as needed, may assist receiving department, may drive the forklift as needed to place product in the paint department. The box puller may also perform the "Take Off" job function.
Sign Off: The Sign Off ensures accurate labeling and staging of palletized products. This role is responsible for labeling and placing barcodes on boxes of palletized product as they come from the “Take Off” area. Boxes come off a roller conveyor system from the take-off area onto a pallet (4x4 Green Stripe) in the sign-off area. The Sign Off is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the orders. This role is required to push/pull the palletized orders into the automated plastic wrap area, use a computer and printer to make labels that are placed on the respective loads of products. This role may also perform the "Take Off" job.

Competitive Salary: The starting rate of pay for this position is $18.25/hour. Full-time Description
Operate machinery and equipment necessary in the production of ethanol and co-products, including the loading and unloading of all products delivered and shipped out. Testing and monitoring of the ethanol production process. This position will work 12 hour shifts. Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner according to approved policies and practices. Must complete all training and skills testing as specified.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
All areas are responsible for collaboration with all other area personnel.
Ensure all SOP's, standards of quality and documentation of duties are completed as required.
Proper completion of all records related to the products loaded for shipment from the plant site.
Responsible for testing all required equipment and completion of all related records.
Collect, test, and record results of samples taken from process.
Properly document any near-misses, accidents and/or injuries.
Empty sample containers as needed.
Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day-to-day operations within the plant.
Wear personal protective equipment as required in the particular area of the plant.

Job Description

2nd shift hours are 3:00PM-11:30PM.
Days of Week Scheduled: Monday through Saturday. May be subject to change based on operations and business necessity. Weekend and overtime work will be required based on production and operational needs. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Supervisor.
Starting Pay $22.56 per hour. After six months, pay increases to $25.07per hour.
$1.25/hour shift differential between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Essential Functions
Safely set up, inspect and verify equipment for all line start ups, run time, changeovers and shutdowns. Perform all procedures in accordance with established standards. Conduct and verify equipment adjustments. Evaluate issues and using business expertise, develop solutions and implement action plans.
Use established product specification and standard operating procedures to set up and operate equipment, prepare mix, and conduct quality inspections during specified stages of production. Troubleshoot and correct production issues.
Verify line and work area is set up to begin sanitation process; schedule and initiate clean in place (CIP) process. Direct and perform line equipment sanitation and clean out of place (COP) duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Schedule routine and corrective operation and line maintenance activities with respective departments. Inspect area to ensure timely completion of work.
Consistently work to achieve goals that align with the company strategies. Demonstrate business expertise, build positive business partnerships and assist in developing continued process improvement plans.
Shall be responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
· 7. Autonomous Maintenance- Engage in autonomous maintenance: perform daily cleaning, lubrication, basic inspections, tighten loose components, identify early equipment issues and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure reliable machine operation
· 8. Carry out CILA routines: clean machine surfaces and components, inspect for wear or damage, apply proper lubrication to moving parts, and report any abnormalities to maintain optimal machine performance
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience in food manufacturing or preparation.
This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Manager.
