What You'll Be Doing:
Perform final kits assembly of packaged products that are used to calibrate/QC many types of diagnostic testing platforms for hospital, clinic, and laboratories.
Perform in-process and final quality inspection of components/products to ensure product quality as well complete delivery of Finished Goods to Distribution Warehouse.
Interpret and adhere to procedures and work instructions to while leading a production team to execute production tasks.
Complete and review required quality documentation, process order, and batch records while following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Complete inventory and quality transactions in SAP Inventory System.?

Ability to manage time, people, and resources.

JOB SUMMARY

Keeps accurate records and logs associated with production, measuring, quality, quantity and any other necessary record-keeping activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finishing Operator:
1. Confirms product does not exceed outer diameter dimensional requirements.
2. Verifies trim measurements using calibrated tools such as ring gauges, trim gauges, etc
3. Places seal carriers at both ends of the element using calibrated tools such as ring gauges, core tube extension gauges, etc.
4. Performs product inspections using air lines, leaf adhesives and visual spot-checking for bubbles on product; makes necessary repairs.
Rolling Operator:
1. Operates element rolling table to assemble components into a spiral configuration, changing membrane leaf adhesive drums as required.
2. Ensures all glue lines, side and end seals are applied during manufacturing process.
3. Some positions may verify glue ratio, including proper placing, accuracy, consistency and diameter of glue lines in accordance to Manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures.
Trim Operator:
1. Verifies gauges have current calibrated sticker prior to using hand tool to prevent damage to product.
2. Confirms trim measurement using calibrated hand tools such as ring gauges, trim gauges, etc.
3 Operates standard product trimming machine, including cleaning blade before using it.
Caging Operator:
1. Operates machine to seal the cage outerwrap to process separation products, conducting a visual inspection of elements for damage.
2. Seals cage outerwrap to feed spacer on the end seal glue lines.
3. Trims leaves manually using scissors eliminating flaps and exposing proper placement of serial number.
APPLIES TO ALL:
1. Loads/unloads product from manufacturing transport equipment on to appropriate machine or production equipment for tasks.
2. Maintains daily, weekly and monthly productivity goals set by production management, including clean-up, rework, core tube preparation or other production activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Prep Units with dunnage, according to customer specifications so that the units will not be damaged by banding.
Must be able to read the dry end schedule.
Make sure all products being produced is of acceptable quality standards with a goal of 100% perfection. Check, monitor and enforce all quality standards including proper unitization and tagging procedures.
Operate all Sheet line controls.
Make sure machine and work areas are clean. Before the start of the shift inspect sheet line area for cleanliness and proper stocking and report findings to the current control room operator. Must also make sure areas are clean and properly supplied at shift changeover to ensure the success of the oncoming shift.
Keep the dunnage area clean, neat and stocked.
Respond to the bander when there are issues.
Make sure quality checks are being properly performed through the shift.
Work with Shipping to correct all issues in the rework area in a timely manner and ensure that no rework issues carry over into the following shift.
Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
Inform Control Room Operator of Overrun, Underrun or scrapped sheets/units.
When the machine stops because of a Dry End issue, should make sure that the line is clear so that the machine can start up after issue has been corrected.
Provide on the job training as needed for new employees.
The Dry End will always work as a team. Operators are expected to help each other out when issues arise.
Regular and predictable attendance; Attendance must be exemplary at all times. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.
