Primary Responsibilities
Load correct programs into computer for setup and running.
Set up equipment to standard for each individual pattern being processed.
Monitor parts in process and verify meets requirements.
Adjust during runs to keep parts within specifications.
Make detailed checks and adjustments to within thousandths of an inch.
Ability to read calipers, micrometers, Ohme and resistance meters.
Qualifications
Willing to work overtime as needed.
95% of time standing with some walking.
Frequent lifting up to 50LBS.

Inspection and grinding is also required in certain jobs. Ability to lift 30-50 pounds is required. * Has ability to work in accordance with safety and quality standards

Job DescriptionMetro Services is seeking to immediately fill Machine Operator positions for a Manufacturing company in Huntsville, AL. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now! • Operate hot wire slabber, contour cutter, down cutter, slitter, bandsaw, densifier, and other equipment as needed
• Support machine and material preparation for production
• Assist with setting machine parameters such as speed, size, and shape
• Load programs and files under supervision
• Replenish materials and support ongoing machine operations
• Stage completed parts and prepare them for shipping
• Complete documentation as required
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
• Comply with all safety and quality standards
• Report equipment or safety issues as needed
• Complete other tasks as assigned
Compensation (USD):
$17.00/hour
Schedule:
1st Shift
Monday - Friday
5:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years' experience operating heavy equipment such as Hot Wire Machines, Down Cutter, CNC, or Waterjet
• Ability to read and interpret written, illustrated, and verbal instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure is required
• Must be able to multitask and communicate effectively in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform physical job functions such as standing, stooping, bending, and twisting
• Forklift certification preferred
• Must pass a background check and drug screen

Summary/Objective: The Production Technician operates machines to produce a quality product in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and tend machines that stitch, use hot air, or ultrasonics to join together materials in the manufacturing or garment products.
Observes seaming to detect and defects and notifies supervisor or mechanic if defect is caused by machine malfunction.
Responsible for moving bundles of cutwork within module.
Fold and pack out products in boxes.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Hand/eye coordination.

Intermediate computer skills to include ERP software.
