Responsibilities
Examines and packs products while maintaining critical production and quality standards. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety housekeeping guidelines.
Packs polyethylene bags/liners in a neat and orderly manner according to job specification, closely adhering to the count per box.
Checks quality of products for width and length, seal strength, packaging specifications, twist ties, and any other specification noted as special instructions.
Report all production or equipment problems to Machine Operator and/or Supervisor.
Place date and lot number on all cases.
Use lane coders to stamp each carton.
Observes all safety regulations.

The primary role of the Production Operator is to manufacture quality products in a safe manner.
The operator will be responsible for inserting various components into molds, removing the finished products from the molds, cleaning the molds, inspect/repair the finished goods as necessary prior to shipment of the products to the customer. The role may require the use of simple hand tools and/or special assembly tools.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
* Place all applicable inserts (support wires, Velcro, seat frames, felt pieces, etc.) into the seating molds as specified by customer standards.
* Removes finished foam seating pads from their molds, places parts on a conveyer for the next stage of the finishing process and removes any obvious foam particles from the molds
* Removes any obvious foam particles from molds and applies a thin layer of demolding agent (aerosol wax) to the surface of the molds.
* Inspect product quality
* Repair marked defects and cut it back to contour of part
* Pack finished goods according to placard specification
* Disassemble scrapped products to salvage material.
* Cleaning surrounding work areas
* Perform all other duties as assigned

What you will do as a Secondary Machine Operator
Setup and safely operate single spindle, multiple spindle, radial-armed drills, and cut-off saws.
Lay out and perform drilling, tapping, reaming and sawing functions per blueprint specifications.
Read and interpret STERIS blueprints, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) including travelers, and other working documents.
Maintain equipment by ensuring the proper coolant concentration and oil levels are present, including adding coolants and oils when necessary.
Apply cutting and tapping fluids to materials and cutting tools to reduce heat and assist with chip removal.
Use required measuring instruments and gages to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
Complete all projects, assignments, and duties as directed and instructed by the area supervisor.
Take responsibility for the quality of all parts by inspecting and immediately reporting any problems, discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor.

**Overview**
**Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Machine Operator based in Prattville, AL. This is a Night Shift position, operating from 7pm-7am on a 2/2/3 schedule (working every other weekend).**

The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner.
**Responsibilities**
The primary duties of an Operator include:
+ Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.

+ Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method.

+ Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap.

+ Monitor HDPE/PET resin (if applicable), dryer, material handling and color systems for appropriate processing conditions.
+ Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards.
+ Assist other Operators and maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs.
+ Perform assigned preventative maintenance work.
+ Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
+ Complete and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner.
+ Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to coordinate production line support staff in accomplishing the lines' objectives.
+ Verify material usage per standards
+ Perform minor troubleshooting and programming on the line. Notify leads and supervisors of any major problems or questions.
+ Operate equipment to minimize the generation and maximize the consumption of regrind, purge and scrap within customer specifications where applicable.
+ Properly identify regrind and chunk produced.
+ Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift. Assist other Operators as needed.
+ Assist in the training of new Operators.

PRODUCTION OPERATOR
SELMA, AL - SELMA PLANT
The primary role of the Production Operator is to manufacture quality products in a safe manner.
The operator will be responsible for inserting various components into molds, removing the finished products from the molds, cleaning the molds, inspect/repair the finished goods as necessary prior to shipment of the products to the customer. The role may require the use of simple hand tools and/or special assembly tools.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Place all applicable inserts (support wires, Velcro, seat frames, felt pieces, etc.) into the seating molds as specified by customer standards.
Removes finished foam seating pads from their molds, places parts on a conveyer for the next stage of the finishing process and removes any obvious foam particles from the molds
Removes any obvious foam particles from molds and applies a thin layer of demolding agent (aerosol wax) to the surface of the molds.
Inspect product quality
Repair marked defects and cut it back to contour of part
Pack finished goods according to placard specification
Disassemble scrapped products to salvage material.
Cleaning surrounding work areas
Perform all other duties as assigned
