The Continuous Line Take Off Operator is responsible for multiple tasks to include but not limited to performing changeover activities in the Take Off area, assist Oven Operator in getting material out of the oven, monitor material once it leaves the oven to the Take Off area, and perform all tasks to safely and effectively taking off material in rolls or sheets, as required by customer. The Continuous Line Take Off Operator is also responsible for assisting the Continuous Line Team in all production tasks that support the implementation of World Class Manufacturing. Job Responsibilities • Perform start-up and changeover at the Take Off Area in compliance with production schedule • Maintain all production tags, roll wrap, cores and core tags, and take off inspection reports • Input roll or sheet data into production data system as required • Monitor material coming through trim saw area for any defects • Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition • Execute emergency procedures in case of power failure • Assist oven operator in getting material out of the oven and extruder operator as required during start-up, breaker plate changeover, or die changeover • Communicate any changes at the Take Off area with the Extruder Operator and Oven Operator as required • Use time during shutdown and/or changeover to perform housekeeping in work area and provide support to other members of the line team as required • Assist Extruder Operator, Take Off Operator, and Water Spider as required to ensure efficient and effective operation of the entire line Job Qualifications and Requirements • High school diploma required • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred • Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Possess ability to plan out work day and multi-task to complete objectives. • Demonstrate ability to read as well as follow safety information, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. • Be willing to build relationships with internal and external partners/customers. • Demonstrate integrity, maturity and a constructive approach to challenges. • Demonstrate efficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications • Possesses basic written and verbal communication skills
