The Linde On-Site Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an CO2 Facility in the Pekin/Peoria IL area. This challenging and rewarding job will include, but not be limited to performing routine operating, starting/stopping of equipment, maintenance, electrical, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and repairs. On-Site Technicians must be dependable. They work with minimal supervision and must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation. Linde On-Site Technicians usually work alone and have primary responsibility for their assigned plants. Facility Information: The plant has 9 drivers, 2 technicians, A distribution superintendent (based remotely off site) and a Facility Manager (Also based remotely off site). It is a 24/7 operation and nights and weekends when no tech is on duty the plant is monitored by a call out box that calls the technician when an issue comes up. Scope: Employees in this role operate all aspects of the Linde CO2 facility, from routine operations to solving production problems. They maintain compressors, pumps, valves, motors and related equipment. The technicians start up, shut down, and operate the plant. The technician must solve a variety of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process control problems. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining the fillzone. This requires training new drivers and contract drivers with loading product, troubleshooting fill issues and maintaining the analyzers. This also requires filling railcars. On-Site Technicians are trained and mentored as they develop knowledge and skills. The employee is also supported with supervision, technicians, engineers, logistics and other technical staff. If certified, operate a forklift safely, making sure all mobile equipment logs are filled out daily for each piece of machinery. Complete quality testing as required. Log all analysis properly on the respective pick slips. Notify the plant operator when the proper materials for bagging production are needed. If blends are performed, make sure the blend is logged for the duration of the blend and proper QC standards are followed. Notify management and office administrators if any of the following occur: Material shortages for daily shipments Gradation problems or loading time changes Unusual noises or potential mechanical problems Assist maintenance in repairing any mechanical equipment, when necessary Complete and maintain all related paperwork as directed by management daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
