Will operate ( brake press, benders, saws, belt sanders, CNC milling centers, and a shear ) in order to fill job orders. Will deburr, blow out all parts, stack and band all finished parts. Will operate and maintain set ups on special purpose machines where operations may involve several progressive machining sequences, and will give instructions on operating procedures. Requires complete knowledge of machine shop operations as acquired by on-the-job training and experience. Operation responsibility includes but are not limited to verifying blueprints, 1st piece inspections, proper measurements, safety of equipment operator is using, accurate count of parts and proper documentation on job orders. The work is repetitive and subject to processes inspection. Position Duties: Reads job order and blueprint specifications. Set up machinery for jobs to run efficiently with all parts checked to blueprint and job order. Operate machinery efficiently while maintaining 1st piece inspection on all parts, all 1st piece inspections are checked to the job order and blueprint. Demonstrate timely communication of needed materials. Responsible for the safety of the equipment he/she is using. Responsible for notifying supervisor of any and all repairs needed.
