The completed furniture is then placed in a staging area to be taken to the assembly line. The upholsterers support the furniture fabricators and the assembly line. Key Responsibilities: Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Follows all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work Reads order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to ensure each order is produced to specifications Uses various hand tools, stapler, and industrial steamer to complete furniture pieces Completes all job duties within given time constraints Performs other duties as assigned Cross-trains between several different jobs Cleans and maintains work area Pursues continuous improvement to improve efficiency of job duties and work flow Qualifications Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Excellent problem solving skills Good verbal and written communication skills Needs good visual judgment to notice errors and/or defects Ability to accurately read a tape measure Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work in a fast paced, multifunctional team oriented work environment Ability to work variable hours with short notice (up to 50+ hrs. per week) Physical Requirements and Environment: Must be physically capable of safely lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance Involves standing, bending, and lifting for long periods as required Requires repetitive movement and extensive use of hands Includes exposure to noise levels that are distracting and/or uncomfortable Requires wearing personal protective equipment

Move and/or control the movement of materials, supplies and finished goods to designated locations within the facility. Inspection of parts as required. Maintain appropriate records Empowered to initiate corrective actions when problems, which impact the quality of the product and/or the quality of the system, are identified. Any and all job duties and “other duties” as specified by the Supervisor. This includes but is not limited to: cleaning, reassignment to another area/department, etc. SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Working knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical materials. The ability to use & understand production gages. The ability to perform calculations with whole numbers quickly and accurately without a calculator.
