+ Employee is required to repeatedly lift and handle battery parts, envelope materials, elements and batteries weighing from grams to 50 pounds.
+ Continuous and repetitive loading of plates into feed magazines and some hand stacking of positive and negative plates.
+ Perform first piece set-up, weld breaks, and weld analysis.
+ Will process 1000-2400 batteries per 10-hour shift.

Summary: Under general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, uses industrial lift trucks or other means to move, store, and deliver all types of material, finished, and semi-finished products. This position spends the majority of time transporting product from production lines to storage areas. Manually or using fork/clamp lift truck, cart, or other suitable equipment, transports, stretch wraps, and stacks materials, empty pallets, semi-finished and finished products, and machinery and equipment. Counts and records quantity and description of materials or products unloaded, loaded, transferred, or otherwise handled between production area or warehouse and other points. Verifies quantity and description records initiated by others. In case of discrepancy, holds materials and notifies Production Supervisor or Warehouse Supervisor as applicable so that correction can be made.
Reports any mechanical or operational difficulty with truck or other equipment to supervisor.
Maintains neat and orderly equipment storage areas and other prescribed work areas. Stores material for efficient utilization of floor space.
Reports to Supervisor any materials or products seriously damaged in warehouse or on inbound shipments.

Instructs and trains new or transferred employees.
Delivers or assists in delivering bagged binder, batch, or other ingredients to the points of use, up to and including storeroom parts, baled products, cartons, or pallets.
Empties scrap containers using lift truck and automatic dumpers and compactors. Transports baled scrap to open tops and loads to maximum capacity.
Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as receiving materials, sorting defective materials, transporting scrap and edge trim to balers, unitizing loads by stretch wrapping or banding, palletizing or un-palletizing materials, patching or repackaging materials. Fills propane bottles from outside storage tanks using fork trucks or bobcat depending on weather conditions. Fills equipment with diesel fuel. Fills cullet barrels for hot end. Changes AS1 barrels. Weighs plastic bales.
In case of smoldering material or a warehouse fire, the warehouse will assist with corrective steps such as moving or wetting down suspect material.
May be required to perform shipping and receiving functions in times of absence.
When required by job task, monitors radio at all times.
Assists with bay space capacity and locating additional space when needed.
