Production OperatorThis position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Essential Functions
Responsible for daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara's standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
Accurately completes applicable quality and production reports hourly. Physical and visual inspection of product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership.
Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Abides by Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership.
Maintains appropriate level of raw materials as required, to ensure production lines incur minimal downtime.
Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of production; troubleshoots minor production line issues and performs relief duties when required.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand.

Position Summary:

Essential Job Functions:
Check all equipment for proper operation at shift start and communicates to the relieving shift any deviation of the normal process and any problems that might have occurred.

Notifies Supervisor as soon as possible of any mechanical, process or quality problems so the proper steps may be taken to facilitate quick response.
Inspects as many parts as possible to see that all operations prior to and including their operation have been completed satisfactorily as outlined by the instructions and visual aids.
Performs normal housekeeping duties within a reasonable area of the workstation during and prior to end of scheduled shift. Keeps the station neat and reports safety hazards to the Supervisor immediately.

Job DescriptionDescriptionWe are CURRENTLY seeking phenomenal Production Operators to join our growing team! Starting Pay for this Role is $17.50 per hour with opportunities to increase to $19 over 12 months. Many promotion opportunities will exist as facility grows.
Third Shift receives an extra $1.25 per hour shift differential.
Training is Provided for this role
Work Hours:
Third Shift - Sunday - Thursday 11 PM - 7:30 AM
Key ResponsibilitiesWhat does a typical day look like? I'm glad you asked!
Safe operation of the production equipment in various production positions as assigned by the Supervisor.
Reports to his Supervisor and proactively involves himself in identifying the defects in the manufacturing of the product and efficiently eliminates the root cause.
Production Operators assist with set up, product and process equipment changeovers.
Data collection and reporting into HMI's and or Production based computer programs such as SAP.
Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseWhat You Offer Us:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment,
preference
given to those in the automotive, chemical, textile, plastics, or rolled goods industries.
Willing and able to work in all areas of production - mixing, printing, inspection, operation.
Basic computer proficiency.
Willingness to adhere to environmental regulations and company procedures.
Willing and able to move between one or more of the core processes at the discretion and or needs directed by the shift Supervisor.
Willing and able to work overtime and weekends when required.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
Brownie Points if you have:
Familiarity with HMI (Touch Screen) Operation.
Can train if you have a great attitude and are willing to learn!
