Position Overview: The Machine Operator starts and ends production activities at our coil coating factory in Toledo, Ohio. The position will interact closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process from the raw material to the finished product. This is a hands-on position that will be required to cover a variety of duties and responsibilities in this continuous operation. Duties And Responsibilities: Reporting directly to manufacturing floor supervision and management, the Machine Operator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Operate payoff and rewind end of coil coating line Visually inspect coils to make sure there are no defects in the paint or metal (trash in paint, dents, scratches, etc.) Cut samples of coated coil for QC lab inspection Keep work area clean Participate in safety and other training programs as required Perform other duties and special projects as assigned Operate Forklift, if applicable DESIRABLE JOB REQUISITES: Qualifications: In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum Requirements: Strong reading and comprehension skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong mechanical skills Basic computer skills a must Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace.
