Posting Job Summary (Purpose): The Utility Worker primarily works in the outside production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. The employee is responsible for the processing of cylinders (20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders). Temperature: The majority of job duties are performed within the production bakery area that is equipped with heaters and evaporative coolers; however, temperatures may range from 50º - 90º depending upon the outside temperatures and product being baked. If assisting Decorators in the Cake Room, temperature is maintained at between 65º and 70º. Workers periodically walk into freezers at -10º, spiral freezer at -20º and the refrigerator at 35º. If loading pan washer, worker performs duties in an enclosed room that is both warm and humid. If working in the Packaging Room, temperature is maintained from 50º - 55º. If performing cleaning duties by the ovens, the workspace is warm and humid. Moisture: Some contact with liquids if washing floor, toilets, sinks, utensils, and worktables.
