Candidates with a track record of designing complete streets projects are preferred. A master's degree in engineering or a related field is required, along with at least two years of professional experience. Role description:
The Engineering Team at Arcadis is expanding, and we have a new opportunity for a Civil Engineer PE or an EIT (who is ready to take their PE exam) to join our Land/Site Development Team in our Columbus, Ohio office!
For this hybrid role, we are looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in large, complex civil development projects, such as hospitals, airports, residential neighborhoods, shopping complexes, and educational campuses. Strong technical skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential.

Role accountabilities:
Assist and participate in the execution of design tasks for civil infrastructure/site development projects, focusing on public and private sector developments
Work directly with a project team to assist with the completion of construction documents and related activities
Civil engineering design, including site layout, roadway layout, site grading and drainage, utility sizing and layout, storm water management design, including design of retention/detention facilities
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure effective communication and problem-solving
Working with municipalities on permits
Qualifications & Experience:
3 or more years working on civil development projects for the private and/or public sector
Detailed knowledge of relevant national/state standards and codes of practice
Professional Engineer (PE) Certification or EIT working toward the PE exam
Experience working with internal or external Teams as well as stakeholders, and can develop positive relationships with all parties

Job Purpose
Joining Section conducts weldability testing and documents results to confirm that new model body structure can be manufactured in production. Analyse the test results to modify the parameters to meet the criteria to finalize car design, drive on-line equipment modifications, and serve as a starting point for production maturation. Work closely with the new model team to ensure weldability and quality is achieved.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct weldability testing to evaluate and achieve manufacturability and quality.
Analyse the test results to modify the parameters to meet criteria and determine pass/fail.
Responsible for properly documenting inventory required or used for testing.
Identify weldability issues and concerns, analyse root cause, and implement countermeasures.
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to address challenges to improve SQDCM characteristics.
Participate and lead when required, in project meetings to coordinate and confirm schedules with customers.
Properly document and generate reports for weldability testing and change request forms (CRF).
Utilize 3D software (Catia) to understand body construction and identify all unique weld stack ups.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Weld Engineering, or equivalent experiences.
0-2 years relevant experience, co-op experience preferred.
Musts: Microsoft Office (Excel / PowerPoint), basic ability to read a 2D drawing, strong communication and analytical skills, ability to make and follow plans.
Want: CAD software use - Catia 3D, Resistance Spot Welding Analysis, Knowledge of sealants and adhesives for joining materials, machining / fabrication skills, knowledge of gauging.
Working Conditions
20% office, 80% shop floor with hands-on experience.
Must be willing to conduct physical confirmations in the manufacturing environment and conduct testing on the manufacturing floor and/or at vendor sites.
Overtime are normally required based on fluctuating new model workloads.
