Essential Duties & Responsibilities Teach biology courses across a spectrum ranging from the General Biology principles course to Human Anatomy and Physiology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Environmental Biology in the Department of Biology, College of Professional Studies. Provide academic service to the Department, College, and University, including attending and participating in Student Orientation, Student Preview days, Majors Fair, and other events requiring faculty participation. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * PhD in Biology from an accredited institution of higher learning. * Candidates with ABD's considered but must have a conferred Ph.D. by July 1, 2026. Minimum Qualifications * Two years of successful teaching experience in biology, including at least a year's experience with teaching completely online. * Experience must include 1 year in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instructional methods, and use of online platforms, such as Canvas, for synchronous and asynchronous instruction. * Must have demonstrated knowledge of, and instructional capability in, relevant software packages specific to Biology. * Demonstrated ability to conduct (present and publish) scholarly research, and to write grants. * Must be available to teach in person, on campus courses.
