Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a structured summer program curriculum, including arts, crafts, sports, outdoor adventures, and educational activities.
Supervise and engage with children, ensuring a fun and safe environment.
Lead group activities, and games while maintaining high levels of enthusiasm and participation.
Manage program logistics, including scheduling, supply inventory, and coordination with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the program begins).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing situations.

Pay Rate Information:
The Field Program Coordinator position is a non-union, non-exempt position and starting pay is $36.52/hr. This position is eligible for step pay increases within our Non-Union Grade 10 Wage Scale. Top end of the wage scale for this position is $46.27/hr.
Essential Job Functions:

Job Summary
Assists Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator in leading and implementing a calendar of person centered dementia friendly programs that meet specific needs of each and all residents within the dementia care community. The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) and the Department of Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation (PDI) in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Michigan State University (MSU) invite applications for a position in endocrinology designed to enhance service, research, and education in clinical and diagnostic areas. The appointment will be in the Health Programs (HP) Faculty System (clinical track). Applicants must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, a service unit in the College of Veterinary Medicine, is a premier, full-service, fully accredited veterinary diagnostic laboratory, and a member of key federal networks charged with protecting animal and public health. On average, the Laboratory performs over one million tests per year, serving the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) as well as clients in all 50 states and more than 25 foreign countries. The VMC is a major referral center for companion animals, horses, livestock, laboratory, zoo, and wildlife species with outstanding veterinary medical professionals and facilities. The Endocrinology Section, world-renowned for gold standard tests for endocrine disorders in animals, receives the most submissions and offers assays to assess thyroid, adrenal, parathyroid, reproductive, pancreatic, pituitary, and gastric function in multiple species. The VDL, CVM, and MSU offer an excellent environment for professional growth in endocrinology, as well as leadership training and opportunities for advancement.
A dedication to providing outstanding diagnostic service for colleagues within the VMC, as well as for private veterinary practitioners and clients who submit diagnostic material through the VDL is required. The Field Program Coordinator position is a non-union, non-exempt position and starting pay is $36.52/hr. This position is eligible for step pay increases within our Non-Union Grade 10 Wage Scale. Top end of the wage scale for this position is $46.27/hr.

NOW HIRING FOR THE 2025/2026 SCHOOL YEAR! Before and after school programming is located at off-site school locations throughout Thornapple Kellogg Schools. This position offers a $2/hour shift premium for staff who work both before school program hours and after school program hours in the same day.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Before and After School Program Teachers provide a reliable, safe, and fun environment for children to prepare for their school day and unwind from it. The Lead Teacher is responsible for the planning, developing, and implementation of classroom activities. Schedules vary, but require weekday availability, 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and/or 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plans and leads daily lesson plans
Organizes and participates in games and activities
Provides weekly lesson plans to parents
Provides each participant's parent with information on individual activities on a daily basis
Prepares materials for daily activities
Maintains records of attendance and arrival and departure times
Maintains supervision of children
Conducts parent-teacher conferences at least annually
Maintains the quality and quantity of supplies, equipment, and materials in the classroom
Performs any other functions deemed to be necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association
COMPENSATION
$17.09 - $21.36 ; Non-Exempt, Part time (up to 25 hours/week)
This position offers a $2/hour shift premium for staff who work both before school program hours and after school program hours in the same day. This premium will be paid out as a bonus on a monthly basis.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college in a youth development related field, or current enrollment in degree program required. Six months to one year youth development related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. Ability and desire to work with school age children.

Blood Borne Pathogen training
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification required within the first 60 days
First Aid Certification required within the first 60 days
AED-Oxygen Certification required within the first 60 days
